changed my mind this game looks so good from the other trailers i think its a bit like oblivion crossed with fable and its coming out in 7 days so i just can't wait

haven't seen that long of a dragon battle since vagrant story. but i must have this game.

@ ZMajor all official statements say that the game will span from 60-80 hours, but i dont know if thats including all the side quests

Doubters, I have but one word for you.....BIOWARE.

Its definetelly another game im interested in, so i will wait and see how the end product ends up being before buying. With the upcoming Fallout 3 GOTY edition and sports gaming fall season release coming, so tough gaming decision will have to be made

I just don't know about gameplay... It really seems boring, no too much action and adrenaline in it...Maybe is the slow moves they do when striking...And that default magic attack from the mage it's really poor

I trust Bioware and Mass Effect is amazing, but this looks like it could be frustrating on the consoles and too hard to play and make quick decisions. But i could be wrong.

How long did they say the game is?

I love previews and such, but when ever game companies get these people who are coached beyond belief in front of cameras it gets rediculous. I can't even tell how many times there have been great games, but since they get these guys to try and sell the game who really aren't great in front of cameras they really hurt the game. Dragon Age looks great (I've been waiting for a good RPG since The Witcher) and this looks like it could be it

i need this game, seriously i can't think of a swords and sorcery rpg i've played since oblivion, and while that was insanly awesome, dragon age looks like 100x more awesome, with this and mass effect 2 i'm gonna be locked away in my room for the whole of winter

Fallout 3 doesn't have multiplayer yet it's amazing and lotsa people play it. Don't gimme that "no multiplayer = suck" crap cuz if anything... a lot of multiplayer features in games these days seem almost tacked on and suck. Like the Chronicles of Ridick Game or Ghostbusters.. yeah they both have multiplayer features but it's so obvious that the devs were finished with the main game and then thought "eh.. let's toss in some random half-fast multiplayer feature!" that only served to hurt the game. I don't need multiplayer to enjoy a game at all and for some games.. multiplayer just doesn't work. You wanna know what a game like this with multiplayer would be like? Go rent Fable 2. multiplayer was so lame... join ur friends game but you can't talk to anyone, hurt anyone, buy anything, interact with anything etc. All you could do was follow the the main player and kill enemies. zomg so fun... not.

LAME Fantasy RPG are soooooo over with and over played only good rpg i played lately was Mass Effect and im waiting for Mass 2.

@SUPEReeeGO If Bioware make the battles anywhere near as epic in this as they were in BG2, then 20min battles against dragons fly by. No bad pun intended.

i think it would get boring fighting a dragon for like 20 min idk i guess i have to play it before i judge XD i like it though

The fact that that all the dev. representatives seem to parrot the same buzzwords and explicit praise for the game is a bit concerning. "edgy" "epic" "great" why not let the game speak for itself? The graphics look a bit dated and... no multiplayer whatsoever !?!?! - that's just unacceptable! and what's with not actually answering the emailer's question?

Game looks sweet. But im still looking more foward to Demons Souls more. Theres a Challenge =). Multiplayer isnt the biggest deal. But in Demons Souls they made it work almost to perfection for a RPG that isnt a mmo. This game looks more fun to play by Your self and probly less of a challenge thats fit to 1p. Personally truth is Even know im looking forward to Demons Souls more. Its nice to see a game with no Multiplayer. Theres to many games that say 2-32 or whatever and you think cool I can play with a friend with another controller. But really its just 2-32 Online XD. But again this games looks sweet.

This game look amazing the dragon battle was stuning i didn't expect something less from bioware just pure aswomnes i am a big fun of bioware and it seems they keep delivering epic games, oct 20th hmm very nice but even if they need some more months even if i want it now i am willing to wait cause we are gonna have better results people don't wine IF we get a delay later it's for the best.

I honestly cant wait for an RPG without multiplayer for 360, that means it will have more to it in most cases,Microsoft has made online gaming almost a requirment for their games, and eliminated split screen on some good games, and thats not really right of them makeing it so you have to pay extra plus the 60$ for a game just to get the full experience.

Not every game needs to have multiplayer capability. It works for some games, but not necessarily for traditional RPG. Why does every game need to have this feature now? I think it works in some cases but if the story is as engrossing as they say it is, there's no need to steal the single player campaign thunder.

@greatcarbuncle: If you had listened to the video you would have heard the BioWare guy saying "360,PS3 and PC, October 20th". This game looks awesome, seems like there's finally going to be a game that can compete with the likes of Oblivion. It's like a fantasy Mass Effect.

Been a big fan of Bioware since NWN1, don't disappoint me with this one! (from how it looks, I won't be disappointed. Getting it at launch day. :D) Grey Wardens remind me of Spectres from Mass Effect though. xD

This game should have deathmatch. And multiplayer matchmaking. /sarcasm Seriously, you want multiplayer in a Bioware RPG? They're about being engrossed in an incredibly believable world, not testing your mettle against other humans. Go play a shooter or even an online RTS if you want that.

Dragon Age: Origins is YOUR story, YOU decide how you are going to play it, this is a DARK heroic fantasy, as must as im looking forward to this game, im sick to death of hearing these little phrases

Give me single player over multiplayer/co-op any day.

snoitome I have actually played both of those games and have beaten them on my own. I did make a mistake because they were multiplayer so yeah I was wrong. I guess what i meant to say is that you don't need multiplayer to enjoy good rpgs so people need to stop complaining about it. Dragon Age is going to be a great game.

mook the man the fact that you say that bioware rpg's never had multiplayer means you haven't played them yet. Baldursgate 1 and 2 had multiplayer you were able to play with 6 people.

Anyone who is complaining about this being a non-multiplayer title is just not a hardcore RPG gamer. Bioware's RPG's have never had multiplayer and have always been some of the most unique and best RPGs to date. So stop complaining about it. If you are a Bioware fan this game is going to deliver everything you loved from previous Bioware RPGs and then some.

i'm not terribly impressed. d3 looks 20 times more fun. i probably just need to see more footage
