Very satisfying and worth the long wait. A few glitches keep it from being a masterpiece.

So far it's everything we've been promised. My first impression was the perfect blend of Baldur's Gate 2 storytelling and core gameplay mechanics, graphical detail surpassing Fable 2 and the Witcher, and the level of gore which made Prototype satisfying.

The mature story delivers so far, and the gore while excessive feels stylistically right, just short of going over the top. However, a few graphical and gameplay glitches I've encountered so far keep it from getting that perfect score. Power and console gamers playing this on PC might find the pace a little sluggish, but the it makes each battle feel more worthwhile and has yet to feel tedious.

The promise of more DLC and the undoubtedly generous future amounts user-created content will keep this game fresh. An Oblivion that most people will actually finish.
