Awakening has a great story and, finally, I got some enemies who speak. Archdemons make for tough battles, I grant that, but I like to fight bosses who say more than Roarrrr... and flap wings! The Architect and The Mother have purposes, feel, think and act accordingly a set of rules, their rules. In fighting them you make a point, not only be a part of the bloodshed, like in the original. The battles are more furious and the dragons got smart enough to avoid the old Threaten - Force Field - Snipe from afar strategy. The crafting is better, albeit still cumbersome and the new spells/skills AoE deal a lot of damage against mobs who surround your team. I didn`t give a 10 because the game have some flaws. No, not the bugs. With the latest patch and a quick net search you learn to avoid them. There are way to much spells/skills/potions to be placed in one bar. Some activated offensive actions look weird and don`t do what they suppose, sometimes. The cooldown is to long, not to mention the stamina requirements and the warrior classes, for example, need more polish, Overall, it`s a great add to the original. A couple of tweaking and DA:O 2 should be great. I barely wait the chance to play some darkspawn origin (hint) !
