I'm not a huge fan of RPGs mostly because I'm very bad at them. I have played Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and now Dragon Age: Origins. A friend of mine got me hooked into this game and I have not been able to put down the controller at all. There is so much to do in Dragon Age. The game starts off great with you being able to choose your race and your background. I played as a male human noble. Then you get recruited to the Grey Wardens and go on a mission to unite the peoples of the land to counter the darkspawn and the Blight. The main mission of the game is to kill the archdemon, the leader of the darkspawn, and save the world from total destruction. The best part of the game are your companions and how they react to your decisions. Depending on what you choose they can love you or despise you. I particulaly like the romance sequences with Leliana and Morrigan. Even when you are walking around, and they start talking to each other is great. The dialogue in Dragon Age is unbeatable. This game is a game that should not be missed by anyone. It is without doubt one of the best RPGs out there now.
