Not Perfect, but really damn great.

Just completed my second playthrough and decided to write a review. Since nobody reads walls-of-text i'll try to break this down to sections.

First of all STORYLINE. it's not very innovative or deep, but still pretty great and enough to make you acctualy care. The cutscenes (especially last ones) are **** epic, one out of 4 games what gave me chills.

GRAPHICS, despite many people claiming otherwise are acctualy not that bad, in fact it's quite the opposite. I mean yes, there's no flash and shinys on every corner like other AAA titles, but still graphics are fine, plus gameplay and storyline make up for them completely.

SOUND is great, not epic or astounding like in mass effect, but definitely superior to other rpgs. Voice-cast for dialogues is very well chosen, voices match the characters of pc companions perfectly. Envirnonment has lot's of sounds it's never in silence, also every spell/sword attack/use have a different sound effect and doesn't get boring.

One of the things that i didn't liked about the game is CHOICES. There is a lot of meaningless choices, that don't really has any effect on gameplay and the ones that does kind of get lost in those meaningless ones. Also there aren't any long-term effect having choices, they're all like kill the guy or let him live, side with one faction or the other, but it doesn't really matter what you chose there's practically no effect on storyline (except for what army you get in the end).

DIALOGUES aren't extremely interesting or addictive, but after the game will grow on you, you definitely won't press escape once. If you like being bad-ass you can intimidate or trow insults and be a cut-throat nearly in all dialogues, same goes for being good guy or neutral.

There are a lot of SIDEQUESTS in DA:O, and most of them are on same places as main quest, so you don't need to wonder through half of map to give some mother her son journal. Also some sidequests have pretty great mini storylines and oftenly makes you give a break to main storyline.
There's lots of hidden quests, that are hidden pretty damn well and if you'll want to do them you'll have to keep TAB pressed all the time and look in every corner.

finally GAMEPLAY is **** EPIC. At the beginning it may start like a boring strategic-action-weak rpg, but don't do the same mistake as me and don't give up on game. believe me it gets so much more better not far after that boring beginning. Combat is amazingly great it's a bit strategic yet action-full (don't let the first impresion that it's more strategic when action orentated game, overcome you). There's lots of fights and they're not hard nor very easy in my opinion just right. every class (mage, rogue, warrior) has 100+ spell's (rogue a bit less maye) like an acctual spells not passive (increace your atributes or smth) and they all has different animations, effects and are fun to use. Mage mass spells looks great, though could be a lot better, cause i think ppl are tired of those pesky fireballs, icebalts etc...who looks more like fart when acctual powerfull mage spell. Dispite this spell's have different interesting combos and effect's, they never get boring. Warrior and rogues have duel-wield , shield-weapon and 2H weapon spells plus class based spells and really cool looking finisher animations with lots of blood. Every class has 4 specializations that helps to define you character further and gives unique set of spells. DA:O doesn't has many different enemy types, but encounters are pretty different and interesting.

Anyways i'm tired of writing how great this game is, so i'll just end it here.

I recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's or quality games in general. It's a must-play. And be sure to don't judge game on first impresions, cause they're wrong, believe me.
