Good RPG which almost reaches its goal of re-lighting the nostalga of the golden era of PC RPGs back in 1999

Good RPG. One of the best seen from Bioware for a long time. Definitely worth buying. But...

A few short comings however. One: the character building and itmization is not in-depth enough. For mages character building is ok. But for Warrior/Rogue. Really there's not enough options here to explore creativity.

Dialogue. It's good. But there's also too much of it. It occasionally gets boring. And unfortunatly the dialogue is not clever enough to hold your attention. It's a bit like listening to a school teacher preach about geography or something. You just want to leave the room and come back when it's all over.

Story. I like the story, a part from one thing. "grey wardens" they're too cliche. They turn a otherwise dark fantasy into something very LOTR, fellowship of the ring like. Also the story needed more darker stuff going on. It's supposed to be a dark fantasy, you have gore, and sex. So they should of just gone all the way and included more adult themes into the story and side quests.

A part from a few bad patches. It's a good RPG though, I don't say "good" or even "great" about a lot of games now days. Especially not RPGs, but this game is worth paying for.
