The price for this expansion is 40$... meaning almost a full new game. So the obvious question is : How many hours of gameplay??

Rogues were at a low level underpowered, warriors i believe were overpowered.

I resent the comment "Mages are overpowered"...actualy it was quite opposite... sure at first playing a mage was easy if you can find enough lyrium ..but still....at the end of the game every single class and spec does more damage than them, has higher hp etc..

That is rather disappointing about the non-existing romance subplots. Ive come to expect that in Bioware games. It added a lot to the story line in DA;O ME1 and especially ME2. @ EternalXx...never even played the game on normal. Hard or Nightmare and Ive got through it with every class. Its a b#tch, dont get me wrong, but far from impossible. And @ Kokonut...what the hell are you talking about? Aside from some extremely minor bugs I've experienced no problems playing DA:O on PC. NONE. The only problem I had was their lack of info on the RTO expansion, which eventually came out anyhow so thats pretty much a moot point. I only reference it because thats literally the only thing that gave me any issue with DA. Maybe its a problem on your end, eh? (I went to your link but didnt feel like digging for your post....)

@ MWMARS The graphics will be identical. The expansion was built on the the same platform.

@kokonut1971 : I believe 1971 is your age of birth right? Then you have grown up with all sorts of games looking like crap but were still very enjoyable. Why does it bother you so much that Mass Effect 2 looks better than Dragon Age Origins ?

any word if the graphics are going to be better for the expansion or...? hopefully they use a better graphics engine for Dragon Age 2. I'm a big fan of the game and story, but would like it to be a little prettier to look at.

Well I would say everyone form your own opinion because I think Koko is a little "nut"ty. When someone complains or generalizes a product because of their bad experience it kind of paints a pretty clear picture for you. Especially if they just link you to a forums listing page and not the actual thread because that changes over time and you won't know what article they are talking about.

So to that end, some technically inept people will complain and probably not have a great experience but its not true that it is ruined for everyone else. I have installed DA:O on 2 different computers a really old one and a brand new one, and aside from installing the THREE patches (I emphasized 3 to show they are supporting it not that I think that is a lot) everything has been running smoothly and has been quite enjoyable.

I guess I should just say I'm looking forward to Awakening!

    @kokonut1971

Isn't it enough ranting on the forums about your issues with the game/company behind it that you seem to be quite alone about?

Dude what are you talking about? Game rocks, has some + sides has a FEW - sides but i ask again what is whit you and attacking EA and BioWare?

Mass Effect 2 got better polish than this game for some reason. And seem to have more attention to it that Dragon age now.

I like the game but the customer support has been the pitts! I know that games can have bugs and such but to have this big huge company ignore its people like this is astounding to me. There are way too much threads about the same darn issues and EA and Bioware "must" know by now what needs to be fixed. If the patch ends up being almost a rewrite of the full game, then so be it but at least put it out! Nah....i would be too easy....wouldn't it????

Pages after pages on mostly the same few problematic topics, you would thiorigins and that they will eb able to salvage the deal, but what if awakening does have its own share of problems too? Will people be ignored again for several months?

Warning: to those who think that this is the best thing since ham and cheese sandwich read this:

I am one of the many who have bought in into the original game because of the love of the genre. The game was sold to us in an extremely hyped manner and people gave it a chance. But soon after some people started to discover an awfull thruth. Bioware or EA do not seem to be intent on supporting the game.

look at this and tell me that you do not see a problem:

    http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/58/index

I started a thread some time ago on that forum saying that awakening would be the next patch for the game. Some people did not believe this. Well the new game is just around the corner and where is the patch? I still maintain that awakening will be the patch. Is this fair to user? nope. For those who want to fix the original game they will have to buy the new expansion to make the original work.

For this Overhyped game that got so much drum roll all over the internet and so much publicity. All i can see is a complete letdown for it's supporters. No one at Bioware seems to want to come in and let us know what is going on. I guess they are muzzled in some shape or form but that just goes against them. I was stoked to get into their Star wars MMO when it comes out but i think i will pass. Bioware and EA have proven to me with this game that they can't deliver! Period!
