Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening Announcement Trailer

@Uwanq I bought it on PC after not really enjoying the 360 version. It is much easier to select a target on PC and that alone made the combat much more enjoyable. The graphics were much better on my Core 2 Quad + 9600 GT system and the load times were almost completely gone. Its still the same game though so don't expect it too work too differently. Also, if you do get it on PC remember to download the Character Creator. Its free and when you use it, you get a free in game ring that give you +1 on all attributes! Its sweet!

I'm guessing the PC version is WAAY better then the console versions. I bought the game tried it and was disappointed with my PS3 version. Might try it on my PC ^^

this must be an expansion pack. The base price is 40, but I doubt it is 2/3 (40/60) of the origin game. judging by the DLC it is definity half or a quarter the size of the orgin. I have to say 1/4. Those dlc were so short it is sad.

I loved Dragon Age sooo much, def one of my favorite RPGS. But i really hope with this xpac they fix some bugs and glitches...sadly the game was plagued with them...a good amount of them too...loved the game so much but i hope the bugs are gone. None the less, i'll still play if the glitches are around.

Its clearly a sequel did you not watch the video? They said you can use your old character or play a new grey warden from a different region thrown into this new quest. If you play your old character the other old characters will recognise you. If not you will have to build the friendship. I hope too that they keep teh things you chose in the first game running through into this though.

I'm sure I read somewhere that this was kind of a separate side-story kind of thing, where during the battle the king dies and that you would play as a different warden from a different region so there would be no need for the import system as the character would be entirely new? That would definitely make the story continuation from Origins a whole lot easier. As this is an "expansion" and not an "sequel" like ME2, it sure wouldn't surprise me.

200% AWESOME!!!!!! Origins was awesome and still playing, Guess i have to hurry and finish it.

100% pure, unadulterated AWESOME. I'm still only halfway thru my first playthrough, and I'm savoring every single moment of it. I play to be done with it in time for the Awakening's release. Needless to say this game should keep me busy for the better part of the next year. :D

During the first game, I made choices. Let's just say I choose my cause instead of my allies... I am not proud of everything I did, but I stick with the consequences. And I want them to matter in this expansion. What made the game so good is how the story would turn depending on your choices. I hope you can import your previous adventure into this one. That's the most probable to happen (like in ME2), but it still worries me.

I came.

The game looks good. The graphics aren't improved but i think it has a great story as the first dragon age did. Alistair will be the same sarcastic warden and the main character will always shut him up. DarthArthas 12 how can you believe the "Kyle-Emily" thing?!

if they do the import right like in mass effect 2, where you could see not only the main story characters and decisions that you made in the first game. but even the ones in the secondary quests and the decisions that you took, this will be a blast (i hope that in dragon age 2 i can see morrigan again, one of my favorite characters).....i want to see in this expansion if my choice to make alistair king is a good one :D (somehow disappointing because i think that in this expansion only alistair can be the king of ferelden, oh well waiting to see).

played the first part and unlocked everything and finished the game 100% which took 2 months ...well this is a teaser for all the gamer's who can't wait to play this amazing adventure and re-live it again

Holy crap this looks even more cinematic and epic than the original! Which is REALLY saying something considering that DAO one of the most epic games in existence.

Very intriguing, looks a bit ramped up from Origins which I loved. I'm just hoping it has enough hours of game play to justify it being an "expansion". But it sure has my interest peaked!

Jeez, they haven't even issued a bug fix for Origins yet. At least not on the 360. Now I'm supposed to buy Awakening? I don't think so! Fix the bugs in Origins, then I'll consider Awakening.

For any confusion about the questions of "Will this be in DLC form?" or "Is this a sequel" The answer to both of those is no. This will be a $40 expansion pack in disc form. This is not much more than a large add-on. This is the stuff that happens after the events, but it's the same game. It's like what Bethesda did with Fallout 3. If you have the Broken Steel DLC: you complete the story like you would without it, but it keeps going on. BlackCrash, you will need the original game to play this expansion. This is for PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. Note: I'm no official of BioWare or Gamespot, I just read a lot about this new and (at a %95 chance) glorious expansion pack.

Bioware's been busy keeping us happily gaming; many kudos to them. With any luck I'll be finished with ME2 in the next... 44 days until this comes out. Hopefully.

I seriously doubt they'll be doing the whole import thing beyond your character's look, name, and stats. There are just too many different ending scenarios that it's mind boggling. They are more likely just to choose a storyline they feel to be canon and go from there. I'm fine with that, though, as the game looks awesome.

This was my ending of the dragon age. I slept with morrigan so I did not die. Allistar became the king and I went on to search for morrigan. So it will be interesting to see what bioware does. I hope, like mass effect we could also bring our savegames of original to this one and have a different game based on our actions of the original.

Well, as long as this comes in a DLC form so that I do not have to drive to get it.

I want to know what happened to Morrigan i hope we find out and i agree i wonder how they tie in all the different endings. If its as good as the original game ill be most pleased. I spent alot of time playing dragon age already looking forward to more!

Looking forward how they will make: 1. a dead warden come to life again and make them continue there love relations ( i was a male, had a romance with lelianna and rejected morrigans offer) 2.Evil god like baby anyone?, if u had slept with morrigan or let allister do it the kid would have as much power as you did and of the archdemon combined.(I slew it and the highdragon on my own since my char was a one-man-army-jack-of-all-trades arcane warrior.) 3.what if allister wasnt king and what if you had him kill the archdemon and die?(not sure if its even possible Xp). But anyway great game and i hope to play it again :D (i spent +/- 30 hours on it :P)

Ha ha I wonder how they've dealt with different endings... Have they assumed that Alistair had slept with Morrigan, became king and did not marry the Warden? :D Or is it open? It better be... Glad Alistair's back ;D. Would love to have him on the team again, a cute hot decent tank...

i REALLY hope they do include morrigan, because in the game i strongly belive in the maker and i wish i could live with alistair while knowing that the archdemon is truely destroyed
