Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening User Review
I liked everything about this game except that I beat it in a matter of days, and not dedicated days either. Given it's price, it should have last a lot longer. I found the ending epilogue a little tacked on too. There is a lot of potential to draw players into another deep adventure, but the characters are shallow and do not allow the player to get to know them, or have the main character develop real relationships with them. Weapons and equipment were okay, but the addition of armor runes was a tease as they were almost impossible to find. I found two and my armor supported three. The side missions were too few, and the "city" of Amaranthine was extremely small. Also, the NPCs in the missions did not show you the respect an Arl would deserve. I liked the way that you could develop different storylines by having different relationships with the NPCs in the first part of the game. That was very much lacking in this add-on.

A decent continuation of the original story and characters. Longer than the DLC but not quite worthy of $40.

Nice addition but not quite as good as Origins!

While by no means a bad game, Awakening could've been so much more.

More of the same click-and-wait-for-monster-to-die boredom with a linear Lord of the Rings story to add to the pain.

Possibly the best video game of its time and current times.
