- Jan 23, 2013 9:27 pm GMTA mention or Cameo of everybody (this will probably be the hardest) in certain play throughs.
King Alistar and Warden Alistar. No drunken Alistar.
Wynn if she joins up with Shale. Otherwise show only Shale.
Ohgren!
So on. Even Morrigan, leading me to...
Meeting Morrigan, seeing what she did after stepping through, referencing her possible romance or love with the Warden (DAO)
Lielana(which must be, remember the end.)
Then some things getting more complicated.
You meet Hawke, and the Warden Commander, but you only have time to tell him a few things, he gives vague/generic responses. (or, depending on the time jumps, he gives his life for you, to save him from the taint)
If you join Hawke you find his team. Tellis, Anders, Sebastian either for or against him.
Maybe taking place in Tentavar.
A horned Qunari party member
related party members (other than being related to main character.)
Just for discussion, maybe even to be made fun of. Honestly I just beat DAO-2 and DLC's so I desire to speak of them.

Black FC---0304 1624 6630 (cole) - Jan 24, 2013 7:49 am GMTI could definitely see Alistair having a cameo or just a mentioning.
An appearance by Shale would be awesome. As for Wynne...read the latest book.
If Oghren joining the Wardens is canon and there are any darkspawn about an Oghren appearance is definitely possible.
Bioware has plans for Morrigan and the OGB, assuming it is born, but whether or not we see anything about it now is up in the air.
I'd say Leliana is all but guaranteed to appear.
Hawke and the Warden...I doubt it. People talking about them, definitely. Either of them appearing? I really, really doubt it.
Bioware said we could see Anders and/or Justice in future DA games.
Varric and Isabella both have good chances of appearing in future games. Not sure about the rest of your DA2 party members.
I think they said we could visit Tevinter in DA3. And another Qunari party member would be awesome. - Jan 24, 2013 9:07 am GMTIIRC they kinda ruined Shale by turning her back into a Dwarf.

You can't handle the Ception. - Jan 24, 2013 7:21 pm GMTMy hope is a very simple one: that's its better than DA2. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but I thought of it as more a side chapter than main story. Had a less epic feel for me I suppose.
I'd be glad to see any character from Origins, but am ambivalent about the characters from the second, because they were less fleshed out for me. Just not as invested, I guess. I think that was the crux for why I favor Origins.

I think I remember that!
I like most of those TC, but did they give a reason why certian party members are likely, or s is just voice actors? seems like Anders/Justice would be hard since he could have died, unless they unkill him again. or he is a cameo.
Varric almost has to comeback....he was too important and awesome!
I liked isabella for my perverted reasons...I like am glad she was the bi one for my canon Hawke instead of Merril <3 (I like Merril, but I liked Isabella's development and I am still kind of a perv.) - Jan 25, 2013 9:06 am GMTI'd love to be able to run into my Hawke (hopefully more than just once) just for the quippy banter and glib statements she'd throw out at the impending apocalypse.
I imagine the same would go for everyone else seeing as how EVERYONE who played DA2 made a witty/clever Hawke.

I know you're joking, but no, not everyone played a sarcastic Hawke. My Hawke used different personalities in different situations, and I doubt BW could properly predict which option I would've chosen in certain situations, so I'd rather they just keep their hands off my characters and leave them where they belong; in the past.
I also don't care much for cameos unless it actually makes sense for them to be there. BW themselves claim that the DA series is about the world/universe, and less so about the characters, so I really hope they won't awkwardly try to force old characters into their new games when it makes 0 sense for them to even be there in the first place.
Also, calling it now; Anders will be back whether you killed him or not. DG said dead means dead and Anders won't be back if you killed him? Well technically, killing Anders could've meant Justice possessed his body, so it wouldn't actually be Anders who returns from the grave, just Justice in Anders's body, and since they merged personalities and whatever, he'd still have the same personality, but it wouldn't technically be Anders. Would anyone actually be surprised if they pulled this? I think not.
I completely agree with the related party member bit though. It would be nice to have characters around who aren't complete strangers to one another for a change. Not that it would hurt the game if they didn't include this, but it might be interesting to see it play out.
What I personally hope for is a better use of the Friendship/Rivalry thing they had in the first two DA games. Even if Rivalry is said to just be agree to disagree and mutual respect and all that, it still very much feels like hatred to me when characters are outright hostile towards the PC and refuse whatever gift you offer them because of how disgusted they seem with you. The romances especially seemed awkward to me because the LI's are basically yelling and glaring and hating on the PC and then suddenly do a complete 180 and confess their undying love despite just telling the guy a minute ago how they represent everything they hate.
In DA2, telling someone you preferred tea over coffee was as offensive as selling someone's beloved sister to a known rapist. They need something like two bars where one represents love or hate, and the other represents agree and disagree, imo. It would lead to more variation in character interaction as well because it would have 4 different scenarios rather than two. Like and agree (the good old fashion like/friendship thing they had in the previous games), like and disagree (what rivalry was probably supposed to be), dislike and disagree (pretty much the hate thing in Origins) and dislike and agree, which could have characters dislike the PC as a person but stick around because they agree with his view on things.
I'd also appreciate more dialogue with companions. DA2 was supposed to take place over a course of 10 years as opposed to less than 1 year in Origins, yet I feel like I know the Origins crew much better than the DA2 companions because you had maybe 3-4 conversations with them in all those 10 years. I didn't feel all that connected to them, so killing them off or betraying them or whatever hardly had the impact it was supposed to have, because I plain and simply didn't know them besides "Fenris hates mages and was a former slave" and "Isabela is a pirate who likes sex and has some morals sometimes."

http://bitly.com/Z2CT6n | http://bit.ly/RJGjrn - Feb 2, 2013 7:23 am GMTI've had enough of 'ander dislikes' topics. A neutral 'not that there's anything wrong with that' response would have been better, but a 5 point hit is not the end of the world, especially considering I had anders and every other companion at near max friendship by the end of act 1.

Nobody in this topic is hating on Anders in general, never mind that 5 point hit you get when you turn down his flirting. Maybe you accidentally posted in the wrong topic... or are you just trying to spark another debate over this?

Link me to the topic. I am going to defend Anders (I believe they kind of forced his hand)

....kinda hijacked this topic. I hope DA3 has less quests where the only option is failure. (saving the Qunari Mage or getting the stupid tome for the Arishok) and no find 'object and return it to some random guy' quests.
