In this week's Sound Byte, we talk to the composer of Dragon Age II, Inon Zur, about what he learned from Dragon Age: Origins, what instruments he prefers to compose for, what his process is, and who he collaborated with this time around.

A genius. Made also music for Crysis, Prince of Persia, fallout, EverQuest 2, Lineage 2, Baldur's Gate 2 and more. Israeli, started in The Music Academy of Tel Aviv. Love his work!

Oh, I'm interested in WINNING, alright. So what he's basically saying is that they asked him to dumbed it down and he feels sorry for working in a hassle.

I don't know how you explain it but the music just sounds so "epic". With the background story and just watching the cinematic trailer, once Hawke appears and the music starts, it has a"gypsy-ish" feeling to it. Then there's that "rising champion" feeling at the end of trailer. Gives me chills everytime. Great series, I hope you'll get an interview with Bethesda about Skyrim because how can you not ignore the soundtrack in recent Skyrim trailer!

Awesome. I love that gamespot has taken interest in the music in games very impressive. Thumbs up Gamespot. But i'd love it if they did interviews on the sound design as well.
