@isshiah Thanks, guess I'm gonna visit the past videos. Was late with the updates and thinking it would just be another sequel, I'd though it would be right after or a few years after Origins. Pretty interesting so far. So far, no mention of Hawke being a Warden and no where near Ferelden. Thanks again!

@mikey1611 i believe it was mentioned in one of these developer videos. we will be able to see events in the first game from a different perspective. at 3:50 he mentions lothering appearing in DAII. you won't miss anything if you've not played origins.

@isshiah I don't know if you remember your post here (DAII interview), since it was like more than a month ago but do you remember where you read about DAII taking place when Warden lands in Lothering and leaves Lothering in DAO?

I hope the story line is on par with ME1.

when a game takes place over a long period of time and we skip to the best parts, the leveling up seems to stall. take for example assassins creed 2. in some sequences, you skips years ahead, but earn no money from the villa auditore. i don't want to be stuck on level 10 for 3 in game years. ps this game takes place during the events of DA:O. hawke isn't morrigans child, he escapes lothering.

Dragon age origins was awesome. Now i dont really care much about the gameplay unless its utterly revolting because in Dragon Age I cared mostly for the story and if the lore fails to deliver in Dragon Age 2 i WILL BE PISSED. Nice trailer though

After searching through youtube watching all the interview ill get to some key parts, for the character you can not change races (only human) you can be a girl or a boy, you can change classes mage, rouge etc. The character will have a voice. You can still choose what to do and the choices will affect what happens, hope that answers your questions everybody reply if you have another question.

@Deaths_gift @Uhagi I would think that you could change everything but the name (race, gender, class, etc.) That would make sense. I also think that they didn't want it to seem like they were creating the same game all over again like some developers do, so they created an entirely different storyline. Adding onto the last game would probably defeat the purpose of a new player being interested in playing though the prequel because halfway through the player would feel like they already played it. That's why he made the reference when he said "wow this is cool...maybe i should look at origins."

why change something perfect? mass effect is amazing dragon age is amazing a hybrid of these two may result in fail :\

Sounds like a good idea, but I loved my old guy it would have been cool to continue to carry on our own character story

Death's_gift it's much like mass effect. You can customize the appearance but the last name stays the same.

can you make your own guy becuse if you cant that would suck cuz i liked the diffrent begening you could have. And the bonus atrubuts i mean hawk looks cool but it looks as if u cant exactly make him your mage or rouge just him.

@ mrzshahrukh I'm gonna explain this as simple as possible. You guys need to pay attention. After getting rid of Flemeth, or NOT getting rid of her you'll ask Morrgian about it. You'll have the choice of saying, "Is Flemeth rreally gone?" And Morrigan will say something along the lines of, "No, I do not believe she is truly gone." Not word for word mind you.

they aren't taking away everything about character creation....just the selection of race...so you can still change the appearance and all that fun stuff...just not human/elf/dwarf

this game sounds awesome, and hawk looks a cool character, i just wish they hadnt took away the making ur own guy thing... but if things that my guy did in the original are gonna be mentioned and involved then its gonna be amazing... cant wait for this game bring on march 2011.

Guys i'm sorry i shouldn't quote about things that isn't about the subject but i really need help with somethng. I have a problem on my pc in some games the game freezes and computer restarts immediately and in that split second a blue screen with white text appears and pc restarts. can anybody help i'm really stuck here and can't find help in google as well. will be grateful for help...

Looks and sounds very impressive. Sure, it doesn't really sound anything like the original dragon age. I bet there's less strategy involved and everything, but it might still be really good if you just pretend the first one never came out. As an independent game this would be great, but as a part of the dragon age series I think it will be a bit hated. mostly by hardcore fans of the original one. Can't wait nonetheless.

on the consoles, is there a real combat system

guys i dunno about killing flemeth da o although i finished it. could somebody enlighten me and don't worry if u think u spoiled anythin' i don't care much about it anyways though i'll tell that there are spoilers in my future quotes should they have any. (by the way i didn't mention the people who wrote quotes in enlightening me about my previous quote in not customizing the character and i thank you. Gee, my quotes are too long sorry about it. and i'll try to send messages and not quote in situations like this and i'm sorry if anyone got annoyed cos' of it.

shawnyboy95 When i found out that we couldn't customize the guy i was shocked and got angry and wrote that stuff. I think it would be okay without it (and at least keep me away from customizing the face of the character all day and not even starting the game :D :D) and DA: O was pretty cool and i think i shouldn't miss it. Sorry i judged too quick. (thanks for the name info as well, been waiting for it.)

In Planescape: Torment you couldn't create your own character, yet it's still one of the best RPGs ever...

@jaja1818 I get what you're trying to say, but the "hawk" legend he mention in the video have nothing to do with Dragon Age: Origins (not to my knowledge anyways). And yes, it was kind of hard to keep the AI companions from doing stupid things in combat, since they only had so many "slots" for you to "program" them

Sounds like it's shaping up quite well. I really hope they release a PC Toolkit just as they did with DA:O.

Wow that story telling idea is really cool and unique! It's like that movie approach of storytelling. Still probably going to get Guild Wars 2 though.

Hm, my guess is that the hero you control and he mentions is the son/daughter of Morrigan. He mentions Flemeth although i stabbed her through the heart.
