User Rating: 8.5 | Dragon Age II X360
Dragon Age 2 is an exciting and addicting game that you have to see through the end and play it again in a different way. For those of you who haven't played Dragon Age Origins, don't worry; the game does a good enough job to explain the world and the events of the first game. I can say that because I haven't played the first game and I caught on fast. But now I have played the first game, and I must say that the story in DA II is disappointing.

Gameplay: 9.5- The combat is a ton of fun. It's exciting and action pack and it will keep you on your feet. This game was aimed more towards console players but for this case, Xbox 360, it works great! You can set strategy settings on your fellow AI characters so they can figure out what to do or you can just switch back and forth. I heard the leveling up was dwindled from the first game, but it doesn't matter to me. I wouldn't like spending too much time in a menu leveling up.

Graphics: 8.0- The graphics are really not impressive, especially for a new 2011 game. They are still great graphics, but there are many noticeable glitches that are impossible to ignore and they will frustrate you.

Story: 8.0- The basic story is that you are a refugee from Fereldan running to the city of Kirkwall. People say there is no real plot. I disagree. There are three acts in the game, and each one has its own plot. Without giving too much away, the first act's story is you're trying to get on a expedition into the deep roads to earn extra money, the second act's story is you have to try to resolve a possible Qunari uprising, and the third is hard to talk about without giving anything away. Lets just say it has a lot to do with Templars and Mages. In fact, most side quests involves the conflict between Templars and Mages in some way. The entire story though is being told by a dwarf named Varric who is being interrogated. An exciting part of the story is the side quests. What seems like simple side quests is eventually connected to the main story in ways you never would have expected. It's very exciting to see all these play out together. But the overal story is not nearly as good as the epic story that took place in DA Origins.

Overall: 8.5- Though DA II is not as good as DA Origins, this is still a fantastic game that any fan of action, RPG's, or fantasies should own!!
