Fun, Fast and Brain numbing, Dr. Mario Online RX is something any Wii Lover should have!
Dr. Mario, at it's core has two different gameplay types: Original and Virus Buster. Original is, well, the same as the orginal. Virus Buster is a slower version, enlarged, and allows up to four buddies on the same screen to use the Wiimotes like a pointer to move, separate, and posistion pills onto germs to eliminate them.
Orginal is just like the NES game.
Various game modes for Original is the fun online mode, which allows you to batle against another person online. While you can only use pre-made terms at the start, all matches are recorded to your online score, which, if high enough, can land you on the top 10 list. You can also send free online two player battle demo copies to friends on your Wii hard drive, which is really fun! :)
You also have regular two player battle, and regular "get to the highest level" one player mode.
In large quantities, this can get rather boring, but Virus Buster is there to freshen things up after a bit.
Graphics are solid, colors are vibrant, there is, unsurprisingly, no slowdown.
Controls are great, and are highly responsive. However, Virus Buster controls can get a bit touchy at times.
Online mode is solid, no lag, and is really impressive for a 10 dollar game!
My only complaint is that when playing with 3-4 players in Virus Buster, things get really hectic as everyone is screaming at the person who got the only pill to put it where they want it to go (" PUT IT THERE!! FLIP IT, FLIP IT!! NO!!! Why did you... AUGHH YOU IDIOT!" you get what I mean?)
Overall, this is a great game, which I think is worth a lot more than it's 1000 point price tag. You'll love it, your friends will love it, and it's a real gem to show off to XBOX360 and PS3 owners (you don't think WiiWare is awesome? Check out mah Doctor Mario!).
