Double Dragon II, yes please!!!

User Rating: 8 | Double Dragon II: The Revenge NES
Double Dragons II: the Revenge is a pretty solid beat em up and the sequel to the smash hit Double Dragons which came all the way from the arcades into our living rooms. It basically fallows the same type of gameplay as the original by allowing you to beat everything in sight, including your partner. The fighting style is a little more developed and it changes from your regular A button = punch and B = kick, to a more complex fighting style in which the A= button becomes your punch when facing in the left direction and B a kick in the opposite direction your facing, this gets switch if you are facing to the right. It takes a few minutes to get used to but is a fair system.

This time around the music isn’t as memorable as in the original, but it’s not bad at all. The graphics improved a whole lot more and are about average for its time. The game has a good replay value since it is a mind less beat em up (which is good) and it also offers you three difficulty levels, this is how they work, in the first level you get to fight to the middle of the game at the easiest difficulty available, in the last difficulty the goons are the toughest and you get top go all the way to the end of the game.

Double Dragon did not impact the gaming world as much as the original did, but is a very good sequel that fans and lovers of the genre are going to enjoy, definitely a must play.
