After releasing the exciting game that was the original "Double Dragon", how does Acclaim follow up such a good, video game? By making the sequel have better graphics, better control, more exciting challenges, eliminate the pesky time limit, and give you ALL of the "Double Dragon" skills from the first game right off the bat! While there are a few new enemies this time around, that keeps the challenge fresh and interesting, it isn't anything too unexpected for people who are familiar with how beat them up games go, although the story IS significantly improved from the first game, which is saying a LOT since it is on the NES. You have to track down and beat up all the dangerous enemies who come across your path, in order to avenge Marian's death, which is a surprisingly dark concept for the normally kid-friendly NES! This game is challenging solo, or even with a friend! Rack up a high score, find and fight the mysterious illusion warrior at the end, on the hardest difficulty setting, in order to achieve the TRUE ending, of this exciting game! This is one beat them up game that deserves to be played! Enough said, true believers!
