A very fun platformer.

I found this one at a garage sale a few years back and at first wasn't sure what to think, since at first glance it seems to be a little girl's game or something with the name: Do Re Mi Fantasy and the title screen. But don't let that fool you, the game is great.

It differs from the average platformer, in that instead of jumping on enemies you shoot bubbles to trap them then knock them away (I know it sounds strange, but you get used to very quickly.) The game consist of 7 large levels (woods, fire, ice, toys, etc ) with 5 or so levels in each, and one final boss for each of the 7.

The first large level is just your basic platformer. (going from one end to the other) All following levels you must collect a piece of a star, until you have 5 then you can fight the boss. The game also has a few mini games to play along the way, if you can find the secret entrances within the levels. Although the game starts very easy, difficulty starts too increase at about level 3, and by the end is very challenging. (Of course depends on your skill level) There is a password system and unlimited continues if needed.

Almost all of the graphics are great for snes/sfc. The enemies and layouts are very original, and change often so you won't get bored looking/doing the same style things over and over . For example you can shoot out with cork from wine bottles in one level, and ride on snowboard in another.

Although the game is a bit of a knock off of Mario in a few ways, I highly recommend it. In some ways it is definitely better. Not too mention it is more challenging.(Mainly the boss battles) So if you find yourself running through Mario and are a fan of platform style games, pick this one up I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I am not sure how this game didn't get a world release, honestly it is one of the best snes/sfc titles out there.

I should also mention don't be scared to pick this one up just because it is a japanese title, you will have no problem playing through even if you cannot understand one word of japanese.
