Although it's very similar to the first, Doom II: Hell on Earth is an amazing game with a few new features to follow it.

Doom was an amazing game, delivering outstanding graphics and sound quality for the time of its release. It was repetitive, but in the right way, delivering a fun and highly addictive experience. Doom II also gives players the same experience, and it's also done correctly, with a great mix of non-stop action and a sense of fear.

The game picks up where the original Doom left off... with you returning home, only to find your pet slain on a grassy field, with the world burning before you. It seems that the Hell-Spawn followed you through the arc, and now they're at your doorstep and the fight will take place on Earth, for the first time. You suit-up and head into battle again, with anger in your soul.

For the most part, it's just you killing off hundreds of monsters, like before, but this time there are several new enemies to combat. There is an Arch-ville, a creature who spawns fire towards their enemies and launches them into the air... and a few others, but you'll have to play the game and see for yourself. Also added to the series is a new weapon, the super shotgun. This is basically Grampa's bear smacker, as it's just a double-barreled shotgun and it quickly deals with groups of enemies with ease. Besides that, Doom II is the same experience all over again... and hey, is that a bad thing?
