When Doom 3 was first released in 2004 for the PC peoples first impression was "Next Gen Graphics" and to be honest the games still looks fantastic it really has aged well.

Doom 3 is actually a remake of the original game all the familiar weapons are back including the Chainsaw! This is one kick ass game that will also scare the crap out of you, one nice addition in Doom 3 is you cant hold your flashlight and gun at the same time this adds massive suspense to the game as you will turn a corner a demon will jump out on you where you have to quickly draw your trusty shotgun to take it down, its a great idea.

The game takes place on Mars and most of the time the game is all indoors even though you do get a chance to go outside for very brief moments and you quickly have to sprint to the airlock or you will die as you cant breath in the atmosphere of course. The enemies are not the smartest i have ever come across even though the human soldiers are quite clever, not so much for the demons and zombies.

A big complaint i have in this game is a most of the environments looks really alike there are too many corridor shootouts and hardly any open area shootouts but the claustrophobic and creepy atmospheric areas work really well, also the game is very repetitive and too easy one of the easiest fps games i have played for a while.

Doom 3 has its flaws but is still an absolute blast
