Well, the game was awesome back then, but it is a bit too easy when you go back and play it now.  The enemies are slow, and most shots can be easily dodged. The one thing that makes it somewhat difficult is the whole no flashlight on at all times.  I would think the game would be a near cakewalk with the flashlight equipped indefinitely.  Graphically, it doesn't look all that much better, and I agree with the narrator's view on the lack of shadow depth in the new version.  I guess it might be a good pickup for anyone that has never played the Doom games (especially since it comes with 1&2), but for us PC users that already have vanilla, I think it is an easy pass.

Its a testament to the technology of Doom 3 that the "remaster" looks nearly identical (and still looks pretty good). I know a lot of people are questioning the need for this BFG edition, however I've always wanted to play it in true widescreen on my 65 inch TV. Add in some Achievements and a new level and its a nice offering for fans like me.

I don't see any graphical improvements, the shadows are not even soft. Confused...

I would prefer if they released Doom 4 with a new game engine

@Simplythebest12 Doom 4 is going to use id Tech 5...the newest engine in their games right now. So I'm confused by your comment.
