It controls pretty good, but definitely has flawed moments. You will have fun with it though if you enjoy music games.

It's not an overwhelming, but dont let that fool you, it's enjoyable. Like any good music game it makes you strive to master its songs, and then go beats your friends heads in with your awesome skills. The bongo's themselves are fairly sturdy, just don't go hitting them to hard. The game plays great, there are times when you'd like the bongo to respond better, but its not that often. Im a fairly accomplished guitarist (I've been playing now for 4 years) and I must say I know alot about timing in music but I question some parts where they ask you to hit. The rhythms don't sync up in a logical enough fashion and honestly in a game like this that shouldn't be an issue. None the less it is and its only in sections of one or two songs on hard (Gorilla) With these exceptions it plays perfect. What can you say its a music game, fairly fuzzy graphics take a backseat to entertaining rhythmic gameplay. There's not alot to look at, much like DDR. Just some typical DK like jungle, lava, and water like backgrounds. Sound is a huge deal with music games and this one has no problems, despite the fact songs aren't performed by their orignal writers you probly won't notice. I mean the sound is clear. Also the performers who recreate of the classic Nintendo themes, show great musical talent, although nt everyone will be able to appreciate it. Its got some lasting value playing with your friends is a blast, worth the money if you've got the money. On the single player side of things, a newcomer to music games trying beat the songs and unlock the stuff should take a good 10-15 hours. Proably less depending on your past music game expierence. It all depends how open minded you are about the music you listen too. Also worth noting is that you can adjust microphine pick-up sensitivity, but it doesnt have as drastic an effect as as you'd think.
