What Gamespot Users have to say about Donkey Kong

Despite the weird choice of omitting 50m and the somewhat repetitive gameplay, this game is still a classic.

Donkey Kong originally released on the arcades and was ported to the NES later on.This is the first game in the DK Arcade Trilogy, which was very popular and remains popular today. The objective of this game is to save a... Read Full Review

It's not like the Acrade version, it's a puzzle game!

To say I have a history of Donkey Kong is more than enough. I played this game quite a lot during my childhood but I never could beat it. I don’t know what it was exactly, the game didn’t save properly; somet... Read Full Review

The game is Donkey Kong like you never seen it before!

Here it is a true version of the great arcade game Donkey Kong! This game seems to have more of a story then the arcade one did, and a bunch more levels instead of playing the same thing over and over. The game is simple... Read Full Review

    A Must-Buy Virtual Console Title

Right now the 3DS is a system of "take what you can get" when it comes to games, so many of us are turning to DSiWare, older DS games, and even the slim pickings of the 3DS Virtual Console. I missed the original Gameboy…... Read Full Review

One of the best arcade games ever!

INTRODUCTION: This is Nintendo's first game ever made. This is also the first platformer ever made. I wouldn't 100% say that this is the first Mario game ever because Mario was called Jumpman and Peach was called Pauline... Read Full Review

The original Donkey Kong on the Game Boy may have been overlooked due to Donkey Kong Land, but it's still fun.

I remember playing this game as a kid, all those frustrating but ultimately rewarding hours spent taking down Donkey Kong. That's right, just like in the classic, you play as Mario and have to save some...woman, not Prin... Read Full Review
