Donkey Kong Land 2

even though this game is old it is one of the most fun in my collection. What attracted me to it at first was monkeys since I went through a monkey phase when this game first came out for the Game Boy. Though the game doesn't exactly follow a plot other then save Donkey Kong, it's still a fun one, you play as either Diddy or Dixie Kong. Dixie though the weaker of the two, is better then Diddy because she can glide over short distances. This game is fun, ambitious and a definite classic so if you can find it, buy it and relive a 2D game with a lot of fun.
