3DS sells WILL skyrocket for this game as I myself am a huge Zelda fan! As for the Wii U, I don't know what to say...

Finally, Nintendo come around to make a sequel of ALTTP in a graphical style that people had been wanting for years and now people are complaining that it's not a Majoras Mask remake. A new game is always better than a remake.
I really hate the Nintendo fan-base sometimes..
Makes me wonder whats left on the plate for E3 but also could mean some exciting news too. Just about anything Zelda is cool to me. But I do feel it needs a refresh to the series its gotten a bit stale as of late.

dont' understand why they didn't save most of this for E3.... sounds like their E3 presentation will be mostly rehash.
@Konuvis They were getting the 3ds out of the way probably going to focus on the wii u for the E3. They do have limited amount of floor space for these things.
@Elaisse @Konuvis Yeah but that's why they need to be in contention. I mean yes they don't have a new console but a new console is not a guaranteed A+. It'll buzz for sure but it they offcially announce, always-online, no retro compatibiliy, blocked used games or whatever everyone will scream. Whereas Nintendo has no console but if they had announced Earthbound!, LttP sequel!... I mean these are huge announcements. But hey who knows, I guess we'll see in July :)

@Saketume The only funny thing about this movie is Iwata's Engrish, and even that gets old after 5 minutes.
@Saketume He rose from a dev to run the company rather then coming from like Harvard with no experience on how games at least work.

Mario is definitely mass market. I would also argue that Minecraft and Call of Duty are mass market.

Congratulations Nintendo....on solving NONE of the problems that are crippling this Wii U console of yours. But at least now I know the "launch" title Pikmin finally has a release date....
@Crazyguy105 I remember playing mario party once or twice on the N64 with two of my best friends. After an hour or so, coins and stars stolen between us and so, we wanted to kill each other.
Do you imagine what would happen our planet if Mario Party had online? That thing would be a weapon of mass destruction, the beginning of WW3 at least. Do you want us all dead?
If the ALTTP sequel has normal controls, many buys. If it has stylus nonsense like the two DS Zeldas...no thanks.

In order for Nintendo to remain a competent player in the video game market, it really needs to create and effectively market a game that will use the full potential of the Wii-U and appeal to every class of gamer. Also, it should provide third-party developers with tools that will make it easy to create games that will also take advantage of every aspect of Wii-U engineering.
The third option would be to release and market another version of the Wii-U that can rival the tech specs of the upcoming Playstation 4 and win the awe of gamers and tech-savvy users. It's an expensive route, but if it can keep Nintendo in the game and help them to get ahead, I would see it as an investment.
