Probably the easiest DKC ever released.

User Rating: 7.7 | Donkey Kong Country 2 GBA
We could all assume the DKC2 would come out after the first one sold over 8 million copies. The secon game picked up the gameplay from the first, and added alot of original ideas to it. The GBA port is almost exact, but with one major difference: it is much easier. When I play on the SNES, I seem to die every 3 minutes for some different reason, but on the GBA I can gothrough about 5 levels at once with out dying. For the mostpart, the gameplay is the same as SNES. Diddy and Dixie are rescuing Donkey from Capt. K.Rool. To do this, they have to go through tons of different levels (I think it's 52) before they can fight K. Rool himself. The game is just as much fun as it ever was, but the developpers added some mini games and extra missions for you. Some things they did are add 3 minigames (Espresso Racing, Bag A Bug and Funky's Flying Challenge.) Each of these games are incorperaed into the main game in some different way. In each level is a golden feather. You can use these feathers to power up Espresso to help him in each of the races. Funky's Flying challenge takes the place of Funky's flights. All you have to do is mabey fly through an obsticle course and not damage a package. Bag A Bug is found at the toll booths for the lost world. For 5 coins, you can try and get as many bugs as you can in 40 secounds. Each of these games just feels like filler to the acctuall game. You probably won't play these very much. The real reson the game is so much easier is probably because of the changes. to start with, you can save the game for free at any time. In the orginal you could only save it at the Kong Kollege for 2 coins. Also, when you save the game, absolutely every thing is saved. that means the # of bananas you have, howmany of each type of coin you have and all of your lives. That change sucks alot of fun out of the game because now you never need to go back and get every thing again. The final blow to the difficulty is that Funky flights is gone. Just like saving, you can fly for free any time you want instead of having to unlock the area on each map. You can tell that even though so much has changed, this is still the good old DKC2 from it's graphics and music. The game looks exactly the same for the most part. The only thing that has changed is a couple of backgrounds. The 2 that have been changed are the 1st 2 roller coster levels. They now takeplace in the evening instead of at night. The sound has unfortunately changes a little bit. The sound effects are mostly the same, but most of the music seems to be a bit higher.I don't know why. All told, DKC2 is grea on the GBA, but it would have been nice to have an exact SNES translation. Now I've got a version of the game that I'll finish years before the SNES version.
