If there was three words that would describe Donkey Kong Country 2, it would be "Best in series".

User Rating: 9.5 | Donkey Kong Country 2 GBA
Donkey Kong is back, or kidnapped in this remade sequel to the hit DKC. This marks the first time since DKC 3 that Dixie Kong appeared in a game (excluding SSBM, where she was a trophy). You are Diddy Kong and his girlfriend, Dixie, and you must save DK fromm the evils of Kaptain K. Rool. There is a new boss in this remake, and slight changes to the music, which is the same piece of music. It also features the cheat codes and the lost world stuff, but excludes the bonus cheat, where you get all the bonus coins in the first level. It cuts the DK coin stuff, where Sonic's shoes, Earthworm Jim's gun, and a No hopers sign is used, and has a different background, but includes the cameos of Mario, Link, and Yoshi.

Donkey Kong Country 2 is a revolutionary game for the GBA. It's amazing remade sound and amazing graphics make it the best DK remake since the 2000 version of DKC. It has the best levels and challenging bosses, but the challenges get to be very hard, and it's almost impossible to beat some of the challenges.

Another problem is that if you don't have the Gyrocopter from Funky, it is possible to get stuck on a world even if you already beaten it. The challenges from Funky (excluding the easy first one) are very hard to beat, making it pointless to even beat one of the other challenges.

But DKC 2 still has it's moments, and all these problems rarely ruin it's 9.5 score, but they do ruin it's perfect score.

The graphics are the best of the remakes. You can see they are still Nintendo 64 like graphics, and Kerozene (the new boss), looks 64-bit. You can tell that the graphics in this game have been extremly improved from the first GBA remake.

The sound and audio are also sweet, the best music is the Bad Bird Rag music from Rambi Rumble and Screech's Sprint, they are very good! The music sounds way better than the Snes's music. Unlike the rest of the remakes, this music doesn't really have jungle music.

The camera is slighty improved, and difficulty to see is also. Controls are #1, and seeing it again, I'd say they are flawless without a doubt.

The game is surprisingly harder than the original, due to less quality and faster graphics. Kerozene takes about 4 times to get past his flames without dying, and the first K. Rool takes 12. This is equally frustrating when you play the Lost world boss (K. Rool), which is much easier and disappointing (K. Rool said at the end of the first boss battle; "You Kongs think you're so clever? Come to my lair in the Lost World, and see if you can REALLY beat me!" A lie, you can beat him).

DKC 2 is a almost flawless game, and one of the greatest GBA ports ever! If there was 3 words that would describe Donkey Kong Country 2, it would be "Best in Series."
