...Much more. Who doesn't remember this classic from the SNES? Well, now its on the GBA, and fans of this series couldn't be happier. But what's the deal with the game, you ask? Let's see... Well, the story's pretty simple. K. Rool returns to DK Island and kidnaps the big ape, demanding the Banana Hoard as ransom for his return. Well, our simian friends won't give up the hoard that easily. Diddy and his girlfriend, Dixie, decide to venture to Crocodile Isle and rescue DK with the help of some Animal Buddies and other Kong family members. The graphics are great. Almost exactly like the SNES counterpart (sorry to compare with the original, but its hard not too) The backgrounds in sky levels still have that cloudy mist, and the whole game is full of vibrant colors. The world maps have had a layout change. Its nothing big, or disturbing, just something new. The music and sound quality is good. And the tunes are as well. The symphonic bramble stage tunes, to the nice beat of the mine of the island, its all great. You'll got a lot of game for your money. Many levels, some of which are particularly annoying in difficulty, fun bosses, items old and new, and bonus games (not just bonus stages) will keep you busy for quite a while, especially when you go for the true ending, for which you'll need every single item and every single level beaten. Overall, Donkey Kong Country 2 is a great game that is fun but challenging.
