Platforming perfection

User Rating: 10 | Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest SNES

Good

- Kept all the amazing things about DKC1 and buffed it up with even more amazing things

- dixie's hair spin added a more dynamic to the platforming without making it overpowered

- A lot of new locations and environments that make it stand out from the first game

- carrying your partner on your back is a neat addition, allowing for creative shortcuts and more place for hidden secrets

- a lot of new enemies and new ways to interact with them, like the beetles, and barrel crocs

- a lot of new level properties, like honey climbing and being stuck in it. The ghost roller coaster.

- the bosses were more creative and fun to fight than DKC1

- it's easier to save as they're accessible more quickly after entering a world

- the game knows how to joke about itself especially when talking to cranky. Love how he breaks the 4th wall.

- the music is even better than the first game. A lot of memorable tracks.

- graphics look insanely good for SNES

- difficulty curve is perfect.

Bad

- nothing
