Not exactly what new Donkey-Kong fans would expect, because you don't beat on two stupid little drums. This is the old-school lizard pounding Donkey-Kong, and it rocks. You look for "Golden Bannanas", but you can actually change characters to complete certain tasks. There are three new characters, and the "Tiny" character can be easily mistakened for Dixie off of the SNES classic, Diddy Kong's Quest. They each have their own powers, their own weapons, and they fight their own bosses. The graphics may not be perfect, but this small downfall hardly makes the game lose any value at all (same thing with sound). The game really makes you think fast, and gradually gets tougher as you advance through areas. If you liked the old Gameboy game "Jetpack DX" and the NES classic "Donkey Kong", you're in good shape. To fight the boss of the entire game, you must complete these games with a twist- It isn't how far you get, but what your score is. When you get a certain amount of points, A Rareware or Nintendo coin falls from the sky and when you aquire it, you can lose and still pass. I would definetely try to get bunches of points in Donkey Kong, however, because you can only get to a certain level before you must give up. At least, I had to. The last level is hard or impossible to complete. You may know how to finish it, but I don't know for sure. Just thinking about the game makes me want to play it again, because I sort-of forgot the storyline, but my N64 needs fixing up. Well, my Dreamcast does too, but that's a different story...
