good for young child!

User Rating: 5.9 | Dogz GBA
As a parent i'm frequently looking for appropriate games for the GBA for my 6 year old child and this game really fits the young age group. Game play is easy and it's simple to learn and advance. My son enjoys the interaction with interiors of the house such as playing different music on the stereo and playing with different toys in the child's room (although one of the toys is a gun and is called "fight" - so much for the totally non-violent game). Graphics are ok for the GBA platform. The sound is a little repetitive and there could have been different accompanying music as the puppy advances. Value is low in my judgement because it was a top dollar game and i'm sure was largely marketed on the back of the DS version of the dog simulator and of course largely inferior to the DS version, but still this game for the GBA is pretty good and will keep a young child engaged for a long time. My one big gripe is that the game does not allow the user to have several different users. Most GBA titles give the player the option to save and load three different games and that's nice because then three people can play the game individually and save their advancement on their own. However, this game does not have this nice save feature. When i want to try the game i either have to play with my son's existing puppy or i have to delete his dog and start a new dog and that's just not fair and scores very poorly on value for such a high end title. I have not played the game long enough to know, but some other reviewers say the game is abruptly short and ends with a disappointment. So I will also reflect this negative aspect in my value rating. So value is very low but overall a young child will enjoy this game!!!
