I don't understand why reboot it

ok i have a question. is capcom handing the franchise over to ninja theory (just for now) or does ninja theory officially owns Devil May Cry in its entirety ??

im asking coz although im excited for this one, i still want to see capcom make DMC5.

Anybody knows ??

Don't blame Ninja Theory for this. They're just doing their job (although I'm not a fan of their games). Capcom is responsible for this, just like they are responsible for the new Resident Evil.

Dante and Lady 's Son? 

I dunno, it looks OK. they changed Dante a lot since first trailer, so he doesn't look like a junkie anymore at least... I'll give this game a chance, maybe it'll surprise me. What bothers me the most in this preview is that the action looks..slow somehow, I don't  like it, but maybe it won't be like that.

Bitch bitch bitch, Capcom's getting so much hate for taking some of their series in new directions. Ill admit it can be unsettling seeing a beloved series change, but at the same time, if you dont change, it gets stale. Wait till you actually play the game to form an opinion instead of tripping out over a video and a changed look

looks good, The metal gear game looks good but I like the DMC story and characters more.

People need to relax about the reboot, it looks fine to me and ive played and completed all the old devil may cry games numerous times. plus its called a reboot, if it was the exact same dante and story then it wouldnt be a fukin reboot would it

Well what you know... I was actually CAPCOMs idea to give Dante a completely new look

The enemys in this Game attack so slow its not even funny (same for Bosses)

and DT still seems like its Godmode... oh man..

This is DMC this game should be hard as f*** i dont care for noobs or casuals

and harder difficulties will certanly not change how fast the enemys will be only damage output will be increased..

The game play itself doesn't look too bad. However, I'm still a bit apprehensive on how heavily Ninja theory has altered both Dante's appearance and the story of the game.

How in the hell does a half demon half human character (established for 4 games already) have ANGEL powers? In addition, the British flag on Dante's sleeve was enough to make me chuckle.

It seems trivial to complain about, but little details can drastically affect some people's immersion into a game. Let's hope this game doesn't suffer the same fate ninja Gaiden 3 did. Fingers crossed.

Capcom is shunning the hardcore DMC fanbase to win over "western audiences" (i.e. "I went to an Occupy rally!"-hipsters and casual noobs), with everything being designed from the ground up to maximise accessibility. It is running all of its biggest franchises into the ground with flat-out broken reboots (RE6 and this DmC abomination...30fps and enemies that stay in the air begging to be juggled? lololol) and anti-consumer practices like disc-locked DLC and "Ultimate Editions" of games released <6 months later with exclusive content. Capcom used to be great, now it just wants the money at any expense.

Devil May Cry already HAS an Origins game - DMC3, the best game in the series. If actively wiping that game from the franchise's canon isn't a huge "fuck you" from Capcom, I don't know what is.

No game is on my radar with an M-rating, because no game needs an M-rating and everybody knows it.

Having gone down the road of nostalgia and having played again all the DMC games;  I have to admit this "new" character is a breath of fresh air.  Can't wait till it's release. Tje pre order bonuses aren't have bad either.  I think, I'll go for the "samurai" kit because, the Gold one reminds me way to much of Gears, The Bone kit's basically a take from Dante's Inferno.  Hopefully, the Feel of this game when it comes out would remain reminiscent of its previous installments.

On my radar? I got a post-it on my refrigerator saying "Buy DMC 15/1". Looking forward to this so much. Love the new Dante <33

I guess people have to put it two ways, I agree that this game does not resemble the DMC series, for one Dante smokes. But the way I see it, it's either this or no more DMC games at all. Just because it's not the same as all the other DMC games it doesn't mean that it's going to automatically suck. DMC4 was anticipated to be an utter disaster just like this is and DMC4 turned out pretty good. I enjoyed the storyline and the gameplay. We don't know what is in store for us in this game. The story could well be mindblowing. My point is, we're shooting this game down before any of us have had the chance to see what it's really like. It's like looking at a person and assuming that they are an utterly horrible person just because they don't dress up well. The only way anyone can say that this game suck with any real meaninng is by playing it and reviewing it. Since it's not out yet I doubt any of you have, so until then all we can do is look at the teaser trailers and talk about what we can see rather than making negative assumptions about the entirety of the game.

Apart from button mashing and the occasional puzzle (which will be as linear as the rest of the game) I see nothing of this. The combat is so fast PS3 and Xbox360's frames wont keep up with it. Jesus, it's the same thing with these "action arcade" games every iteration. Release this in arcade version only and stick it in a Dave & Busters so kids can just mash away on the big buttons and be amazed that they can actually do something that "looks".

Let's try this new one ..... currently, most of the new story adventure game were interesting so far

I feel that DMC will be more than we excepted.

What some people don't get is, that people who love DMC love it because of its feeling, not just flashy gameplay style. Dante's character, Virgil's character , the world, and even Nero's character fit in. I'm probably going to get this game, but I'm not so excited about it. I am not against new ideas at all, I liked DMC4, it was a good game and felt like DMC. But I'm against the reason they changed the game, it was mainly to get them more people to play the game, to get more money, and I'm nearly sure it won't get them that many people.

The video feels so flashy for DMC, where's the dark fantasy feel of it ?! Also, does anyone notice how Dante keeps a stupid smile on his face?

This reboot is wrong in so many levels , what that fuc* with this new protagonist ? Graphics and level design doesn't seem to have improved at all. 

This would be a good game and that is for sure... But this is not Devil May Cry for all god's sakes! What the hell is Capcom thinking? Oh I get it... There will be a true Devil may cry dlc right? That will be genius. *clap-clap*

I was not impressed. The level design looks awful. If Capcom said that wanted a different look, so they should stop making more DMC games. DMC 4 was genus.
