This game is very controversial. The hardcore fans have been very frustrated with Dante's new look, and seemingly (no offense) refused to observe any richness in the actual game. The levels are creative, fun, and varied. The story is very well-structured and takes some unexpected twists. The characters take some getting warmed up to, but become friendly after a while. The combat is phenomenal, although rather unchallenging until higher difficulty modes are opened up. The difficulty curves spikes upward as soon as this happens, however, and had me working three times as hard trying to manage the most annoying enemies to date. But extremely well made and animated enemies, too. Each demon is dumb, yes, but looks great, and the later ones provide a serious challenge. The boss fights lack challenge, and can be boring. But in essence is a fantastic game.

Game play is as the last installments of the the series. Boss battles are of repetitive nature

I don't understand the bad reviews, It's the only recent game that gave me that fresh feeling that has been long lost.

The game has good action but lacks in bosses and puzzles and pretty bad voice acting.
