Easiest way to ask is to say short sides, disconnected on the top. Then give them a length for the topcut.

I've yet to see a chav/pikey with rDante (r=reboot) hairstyle. His hair his styled decently, chavs tend to have short hair or a buzzcut or wear hats/caps.
Those strange looking, Topman models are more likely to have rDantes hair.
