DJ Max Portable 3 has finally arrived with a new style and flavor and its as addictive as ever

User Rating: 9 | DJ Max Portable 3 PSP
DJ Max Portable 3 is how should i say it.... revolutionary. It has changed a lot from all the versions it has come before it.

Music:
The songs you will play are as good as ever with some of your favorite classics from arcades Technika and past portable series has returned as remixes. Also included are some new songs made by new DJ's back at Pentavision.

Gameplay:
The game still contains the classic mode from the past portable. But now a new mode is also included called Remix mode which basically turns your PSP into a DJ turntable....sorta. Move your to the left or to the right most of the time because you need to do this in this new mode. One problem is that some of the stuff are missing in this new installment such as Network, Link Disc, Album (OST at least), 5B, 8B, 4BFX, 6BFX have been removed. This really stinks because if you want to play any of these you have to go back to the previous versions of the game if you want to play with your friends. Music Videos in the game are all done in HD. There is also a new leveling system where every time the player levels up, they get a choice of 3 boxes. The prizes can be wallpaper, a song M/V, a character, a note, or a gear but they all all randomized. A new area called lounge in this game is mainly the merging of collection and MV Edition mode.

The Verdict:
If you are a DJ Max veteran I suggest buying this game but if you live in the US or anywhere in North America I suggest you import it from Japan or Korea or if you are lucky and you have a import store nearby then buy it from there. The US do have some but it is only limited to 6000 copies so your best bet would be to import it. After hearing this about the 6000 copies being sold here in the states its really a shame on how we live in a country that doesn't have many of these games available to buy in the open.
