Its good that they are branching out to a wider audience, will it work? Thats left to be seen, i do dj'ing myself in real life. This should be called scratch hero by the sound of it. The controller looks awsome. Wonder if the dance scene (prog. house, funky, u.s house) will be included. Theres lots of talk about rap/ hip hop artists getting on board but dont forget the dance music dj's aswell. Good idea tho.

I wonder if this game s going to be good. I really, really, love Beatmania IIDX from Konami, the songs, the gameplay, the variety of styles, many of the videos, the game modes and even the absurd learning curve. I've been playing them for almost 3 years and there is so much that I need to improve. For those of you wondering about it's difficulty, nowadays the songs are categorized from level 1 to 12 and I can only pass many of the 8's and a few of the 9's using the Dual Shock and some of the 7's using the IIDX controller. So I think I will like this game if the gameplay and the songs are good and if it has a difficulty that one wouldn't be able to complete it on the harder levels in little time. I want challenge, it's one of the things that keeps me playing IIDX.

Man some of yall need to look up DJ Kool Herc,Red Alert,Jazzy Jeff (inventor of the transforming technique),Grand Master Flash,Afrika Bambaataa,Marley Marl,Grand Wizard Theodore and a slew of others google it youtube it whatever just know the history before you slam hip hop electronica,house and DnB came from somewhere these genres are the branches,know your ROOTS. huh @amsscorpio.... you must be listening to those ipod djs old school hip hop dj's perfect the craft of djing... but i dont blame ipod djs though i blame the lack of interest in djing period. A lot of people in the US especially females don't want to hear all of that they just want their song played... But about the game I haven't bought any of the Hero games i was interested in them but never bought it.. But this might catch my attention enough to buy it

yeah i hate the fact that there will probably be no real electronic music, electronic music djs are MUCH skilled than any hip hop dj, hip hop djs basically just play the song as if it were a cd player, electronic djs actually mix that song LIVE adding every sound as they go, thats why i think this game might be bias towards that because in the us we still arent big on any kind of electronic music which sucks, i notice it starting to popularize all over again just like in the 90s, i hope so. also DLC would be nice for DJ HERO so they can later add more songs more in the dj culture.

haha yes, where IS Tiesto and Armin?? aside from favoritism, DJ Hero should do well just like guitar hero did because of its innovation. I don't think it looks that great, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I will be surprised if this game does well. I don't use my rock band stuff enough to justify all the space it takes up....so how many people really want another music peripheral in their house?

I guess i understand that some people will like this music more AJ. Its just that I like rock more than hip-hop. Guitar hero is my fave music game but i still want to try some of the songs on dj hero that u let u play on the guitar

Um. I can't tell if it looks good or not. There wasn't a second of gameplay shown in this trailer.

MusicKid I must disagree the songs are great because they're mixing new age with classic rock this I believe will appeal to everyone

the turntable controller looks moderately cool, but the songs are sort of stupid. I think that it will either be an awesome game or tank and anyone who got it will burn the disk.

what i can say...maybe i'm a little happy 'couse it's something "different" than always have rock over and over, i mean if u like guitar hero ok it's good but this one i don't know it's kinnda the same of what guitar hero is but with electro, i think i'm gonna pass on this one. Oh before i forgot tiesto is not going to be on this. In general i don't music games too much if i want to play an instrument i'd do it in real life, because all this is marketing on instruments for the game at least is what i think, finally if any of you like it or is going to buy it enjoy it (no sarcasm at all, really enjoy it).

Wow...can you say Beatmania ripoff? Activision and Neversoft are becoming America's incarnation Konami and Bemani. Before you know it, we'll have Guitar Hero 9 and 10, along with Drum Hero/Guitar Hero linkup arcades as well as DJ Hero Arcades all over the place. And on that note, I'll take bets on when the Komani lawsuit will happen :D
