Mediocre RPG nowhere close to Baldur's Gate or Ice Windale

User Rating: 4 | Divinity: Original Sin (Early Access) PC

I find scores above 8 absurd for this game, that's why i am writing this review.

I'll only utter here pros and cons of my subjective opinion about the game. Since tastes are subjective for each individual, i hope you understand me.

Pros:

  • similarity to D&D rules
  • character development

Cons:

  • Lack of real time combat with D&D rules as it was in BGI-II
  • Level based weapons which i hate at the most, i dont like Diablo I dont like this game either. As it was in Baldur's Gate a weapon is legendary is LEGENDARY throughout the game, not till the next level u get
  • Funny and childish moster design. Did u see the so called "ghoul" in this game. I think game is made to bring children to laugh, miserable...
  • No wast travel feeling, no global map, user feels like wandering in a Diablo world, game maps next to each other...not in like in Faerun (forgotten realms) as it was in BG
  • Characters do not need to sleep because it is always day in the game! No wheather change, no time feeling, it feels everything like frozen. So dull. The wehather only changes is you change your location in the game. That means in location x if it is raining it always rains there :D,
  • I did not find the graphics so fancy. It looks like MS's dungeon siege to me, especially in dungeons.
  • City Buildings look the same, not realistic, how to say "too automated design" I played the campaing in Cyseal, after here i did not want to play more...

And just with one word, for me this game is a fantasy only on the surface, beneath it is a fairy tale for kids under 6.

I really cant believe how people gave this game 9 or even 10 points. At the highest most this game gets an 8 if you are a Diablo fan, but above this it is a fraud, i am sorry...
