I'm only about ten hours in, but I think I've seen enough to say this is a really, really good, "old-school feel" RPG. It's hard in all the right ways, it doesn't hold your hand (you actually have to think about / figure out where to go next), you can mix and match skills, there's tons of loot, combat is fun (and challenging), I like how you can map everything to the buttons you want, etc. The quests are also fun, and there are great little surprises, like how the mind-reading gives you clues as to where a chest is, how to complete a quest, etc. I love it, and I haven't even played as a Dragon yet.
After being led by the nose through Dragon Age II, a "grownup" RPG is what I was after, and this delivers. At 40 bucks, it's a steal. A little hard to find, however - my local Best Buy didn't get it and Gamestop had just one.
