A prequel of Dissidia , featuring the original storyline and the "Twelfth Cycle" of the battle.

Dissidia is in itself a good game , for it packs most of our favourite characters into one package which delivers a unique hybrid of a fighter-RPG element which is rarely seen in any other games.

Dissidia have retained the fundamentals of it's previous system.
The typical "allocate skills" to a slot and use them as attacks in your battles or skills to use to your advantage.

However , what really makes this game appealing is the prequel itself , as well as the new characters involved in the seemingly eternal conflict between the God of Discord and the Goddess of Harmony , the unknown struggle made by the characters Vaan , Tifa , Kain , Lightning and Laguna so they can buy hope for the next cycle , adding a strong kick to emotions to the storyline.

Not to mention a side-plot which involves the plotline in it's early stages which further stabilises and strengthens the plot of the storyline.

However , gameplay-wise , what really forms the appeal is the new characters included in the game. Existing characters are more or less similar to their previous selves , so what really makes the game fun is the new characters included in the game.

There are also various minor inclusions of features to the game , such as a Tournament mode as such , whilst not seriously bolstering the gameplay value of Dissidia , it does add an alternative when your competing amongst friends.

Generally speaking , if you've played the previous Dissidia , I would warn you to think twice before purchasing the game.
Due to the lack of enchancements made to the existing characters of Dissidia , it may be boring and repetetive to play through the Thirteenth Cycle or even use them at all.
Even the inclusion of newer features does not help to bring back the sense of freshness you would have once felt when you had first played the game.
