Dissidia 012 worth your hard earned money?

User Rating: 9 | Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy PSP
Dissidia Final Fantasy was a PSP fighting game with Final Fantasy characters as the brawlers. Dissidia 012 follows in the firsts footsteps and creates a much more refined gaming experience. The game balances most of the characters, adds a new assist system and adds a few fan favourite characters to the roster. This game is loaded with unlockables; costumes, characters, icons you name it. After you finish the game you are even able to unlock the entire first game to play again.

The gameplay is mainly unchanged, using a combination of attacks to cut the opponents HP bar down to size. Bravery attacks take the enemies bravery and add it to yours while HP attacks use your stored bravery to inflict HP damage. However the game has changed you can now call in assist characters to attack the enemy with bravery or HP attacks and they can also get you out of an enemies combo. Square Enix has also added EX Revenge where if you activate your EX mode while under attack time will slow down so you can recover and land a HP attack on your opponent.

The Story follows the new characters and is much harder to keep track of than in the first which had the simple story of killing Chaos no matter the cost. The characters themselves are also fleshed out more than the previous game with some witty dialogue from both Chaos and Cosmos Sides.
The Multiplayer is the same as always choosing a set of rules an arena and fighting it out with one of the 28+ characters.

The game also has tons of replayability especially once the original Dissidia is unlocked. The game rewards you for mastering the game and mastering it can take anywhere from 10 hours to 120 hours depending on if you are a newcomer or a seasoned Dissidia Veteran.

It's a very solid game and well worth the price 9/10, now if you'll excuse me i need to max out Lightning so i can take on level 130 Chaos.
