This is an alright side scroller. I like how it leaves room for some replay.

This game is an example of old-school 2D side scrolling adventure mixed with collectathon platforming stripped down to it's most basic mechanics, wrapped in a game that can be completed within an afternoon of casual play. I personally like short games because I can actually beat them.

The visuals are fairly decent for a n64 game and there is no frame rate slowdown during any of the action. Animations for the most part are very smooth.

The soundtrack was pretty enjoyable. I believe it features tunes from the motion picture which I haven't yet seen. The voice acting far exceeded my low expectations and were one of the most impressive features of the game.

The gameplay consists of side scrolling through most levels trying to reach the end. most enemies can be avoided or easily dispached by throwing fruit at them. some of the more annoying moments of the game come from cheap deaths via falling of cliffs and unavoidable damage from enemies in the later levels. I can't stand games that give you a set amount of lives and this game does that. on top of that there are collectable items that you sometimes must sacrifice health or even worse, a life to obtain! weather this was intentional or a glitch, it stands as my main complaint. there are a few levels that are short 'run away from stampeed missions that are pretty fun.

I would say that if you don't mind a short old school feeling game this is one to check out. just don't expect anything unique.
