Pros:
- A decent little 3D platformer that gets the basics right.
- Some solid gameplay variation for a licensed game.
- A good amount of collectibles and minigames that encourage replayability.
- Follows the plot of the film very nicely.
- Graphical design is not bad for the time.
- Soundtrack is nice and fits well with the source material it's based on.
- Offers up a great amount of FMVs of the film's cutscenes that help you see a lot of the story.
Cons:
- Controls can be a bit slippery.
- Driving levels are ROUGH.
- The final levels re-use level designs to the point where I felt like my mind was on repeat.
- The segments where you play as Chicken Little's friends could’ve been far more fleshed out.
Consensus: Considering what it is we're talking about here - a mid-2000s licensed game based on one of the most Not Liked(TM) mainline Walt Disney Animation Studios films (if not THE most Not Liked(TM) film in the canon) - "Chicken Little" is a decent game. It's obviously not reinventing the wheel or changing the very fabric by which the licensed video game is woven, but it's a passable little game based on a film that honestly, I feel like I'll always have a bit of a soft spot for in spite of its flaws. While it has some dull moments, there are enough good moments to make this passable. I wouldn't say to rush out and go buy the first copy you can find, but if you're a fan of licensed games, Disney or "Chicken Little," this could be worth your time.
