Genie in a bottle

User Rating: 8.8 | Aladdin SNES
This game isn't revolutionary, it isn't very long, the gameplay isn't awesome, yet there is something special about Aladdin on the SNES. The animated movie it was based on was very successful as was the SNES. Two years later the SNES was replaced by the playstation and the nintendo 64 and handdrawn animated movies were replaced by computer animated movies. Alladin, in my view, reflects the best of 2d platforming and handdrawn animation. You can play this game today and still enjoy it. It is much better to look at then most 3d computeranimated games. The game follows the plot of the movie, Alladin steels a lamp and becomes a prince. The SEGA megadrive version was produced by a different company, Virgin and is a different game, though i hear it's maybe even better then Capcom's SNES version.
