Sentimental value is about all it has for me.

A Bug's Life was the first game I ever owned on a console. Because of that it naturally holds some sentimental value in my heart, but the game itself isn't really all that good. The graphics are pretty poor, to start. The sound is pretty mediocre and the music is the same way. The gameplay involves you running around as Flik, throwing berries at enemies, and changing seeds. The seed types is the only deep part of the gameplay: you can use these seeds you find and change them into different types that can be used to reach more areas and stuff. Otherwise the gameplay is pretty bland. There are movie scenes shown as well but they're really short. The levels always have the same things in them: 50 pieces of grain, a few seed & berry upgrades, and the letters FLIK. There are a few tokens to get from each level but they are kind of hard to get. The controls are ok, moving Flik could have definitely worked better though. Overall Bug's Life on the PlayStation doesn't do much right, and even though it has much sentimental value to me, it's just not a good game.
