Disney Epic Mickey Video Review (Wii)

Because a small company made it and not Activision with that crap every year it doesnt mean it isnt good.

This is a really bad review, well not an amazing game its still innovative and fun to play. It's has a creative art style and a decent story i would encourage people to buy it and try it for themselves.

I just beat this game, and can say that it is a good game. This is a terrible reivew. The good in this game definatley outwieghs the bad. It's a great use of the Disney license too. BUY this game. It's great!

This reminds me of when everyone crapped on Ninja gaiden sigma 1 & 2 for having a bad camera. It's not necesarrily bad, it just requires the player to control it where most 3rd person games(ie. God of War1,2&3) have a fixed camera. When the camera is blamed, normally the player sucks and can't control it. I like this game, and while not perfect, doesn't deserve as bad a review. I think Kirbys Epic Yarn deserved a worse review because of the fact that you can't die in it. I hate it when you can't die in a game, I mean, what's the point?

I was hoping the gameplay with the paint brush would be similar to Okami's style... Now it looks like they changed it to a shooter style. Although I was never interested in this game to begin with, this review almost makes me want to try what appears to be a mess of a game. I won't say anything further till I have played it myself but it does not look nearly as fun as it was made out to be.

This guy just sucks at this game. I played the game and thought it was very fun and great. It might have not been as awseome as I thought, but if you own a Wii it is so defently wroth a buy mostly for its very well done story.

I just reviewed this game tonight. The video review pretty much reflects exactly how I feel about it. It's nice to see someone being objective about this game instead of most people being swept up in Disney nostalgia.

Looks like they should've just taken the story and visuals and just made a really good movie.

This is just my opinion but I think Galaxy 2's New standard to 3D Platforming Bummed this game down :P I love this game, its a paradise to Disney fans

Im about halfway through the game, and so far I totally disagree with the score. Not once in my experience playing through the game did I want to give this game a 6 or lower. 7 maybe, but mostly it's hovering around 7.5/8.5.

Whats up with all the hate for this game? Besides the some-what glitchy camera, I still really love this game with the amazing visuals. The gameplay does get boring from time to time, but I'd still give it a 8.5/9.

Come on you jerks. This game may have got a bad score here but all the other sites gives this game an 8 or a 9

@Ferraridude9 Please excuse me, I couldnt find the original comments. I only said that regarding your comment saying "And there are no "hardcore" games on the Wii." If you truly did play good games on wii then you wouldnt say that, that or you havnt played the games the wii is really for. But nonetheless You have your own opinions, Im just saying to not say anything regarding this system just because of this game is all.

@SociopathicBox true the PS3 and 360 has had some good games but I'm sure when the the 3DS releases Nintendo will continue to rake in the money as always

@Marky360 I guess your right there, but considering some of xbox and ps3's titles these past months its hardly surprising.

Well on topic I think this game looks great and Im going to buy it as soon as I can, Christmas probably.

@SociopathicBox I heard that Metroid was really bad and it got some pretty bad scores. when two of your biggest tiles of the year fail it pretty much means your in trouble plus they recently announced that the WII is in last place in sales. maybe I miss spoke earlier it's not Nintendo thats in trouble it's just there WII console Nintendo as a whole is just fine.

@Marky360 Im sorry to say this but Nintendo arent in any trouble at all, they have produced this years best titles, and Metroid didnt fail at all the story just wasnt that great. Its just ignorant to say Nintendo are in trouble since they have made many fantastic games this year (Super Mario Galaxy 2!!!).

g4tv review this as a 5/5 even when they mentioned how bad the camera was, im sorry but a frustrating camera can ruin any game

Man that was Horrible another one of WII's biggest tiles this year fails miserably. the first tile was Metroid man things are looking pretty bad for the Big N. How did they manage to screw such a high profile game like this up. for some reason G4TV has this as one of there games of the year which makes no sense since it's terrible.

Ive always found Tom McSheas reviews to either focus too much on little details or be too overtly general. I haven't played this game yet, so i can't pass judgement yet, but i think he focused to hard on on what was wrong, and did'nt say much of what was right.

I play the game and I agree with this review. Camera and controls are bad. So far Mario, Metroid and new Donkey are only games on Wii that I like.

Epic Mickey is an... EPIC FAIL.

Looks like camera angle is frustrating to me.

@penpusher that's a shame you don't believe me because I have played it and also own and have played some of those other titles you've listed. They might be fine and dandy to you, but I've found very few Wii games enjoyable and worthwhile. No matter how hard I try to like the Wii, I always tend go back to PC and Xbox.

@Ferraridude9 nah it sounds to me like youre yet another wii hater who pretends they have actually touched the console... There are hardcore games on the console, i wish people like you would get your head out the "wii is for kids" hype and have a look beyond wii fit... New super mario bros. , mario galaxy, donkey kong, fragile dreams,monster hunter tri and sin and punishment 2 are just a few of the hardcore games you'll find on the console True its gone the way of the PSone, you have to dig through the deluge of rubbish to find the good stuff but theres still plenty of hardcore stuff to find

poor Micky has seen better days in 2D.
