We get a quick look at what Arkane Studios is up to with this video preview for Dishonored.
I just found out about this game. All I saw was the latest headline of the game on gamespots home page and thought it looked really cool. Then I started to read about it and was blown away! I've been thinking a lot about how a lot of video game developers these days have been "playing it safe" if you will, and re hashing old gaming ideas that sell well to a large group or people. I could list off a lot of examples but ill just save it for a longer post on my profile page. Anyway, as i was saying, when i saw this game i thought it looked really cool and unique. The only thing that worried me before looking up anything about it, was that it might be some kind of neo-nazi rip off setting or something like that, which it still might turn out be. Who knows? I've read the plot out line on their site and it doesn't give that much detail in to the setting, or characters and what have you. None the less it still sounds freaking awesome! One thing disappointed me about this game... Its first person. That's ok though, the game still looks incredibly unique!
It sounds like they've really managed to craft together a game that combines elements from DX1 and Arx Fatalis. You have a world so machine-like in nature, especially the unique enemies that you'll be facing off against, and you have weapons from the Industrial age, much like AF did. Then, there are the stealth and combat game mechanics, making it like Deus Ex, too.
It's very interesting that two lead designers are collaborating. This should be a pretty unique experience in the end.
Read about this in game informer. Should be extremely impressive especially since it's being produced by Bethesda.
I think I'd love to play this game entirely on Stealth then play through a second time like a frag-head!

graphics look rough, hopefully it is because it way very early in development. But otherwise looks good.
sounds awesome, it will be nice to find out more. i dont know why some people are complaining...its a bit too early for gameplay seeing as they only recently announced the game.
Overall sounds good.. But possessing rats and fish? I suppose the developers know what the're doing.
Man, I was hoping for some gameplay. Oh well, the game still looks interesting. But I really got excited once they said it had stealth. :)
