Well i got only one choice in getting the game on 360, my ps3 got fuck up both of them man it sucks..:c

the cool version is ps3 but i have notest that the pc have more things i played it on xbox and pc never tray it on ps3 xnox just sucks i play pc is the good one so cool
On the indoor shots , the wall above the cabinet looks less defined on the PS3 version. the same on the rooftops . That takes a little away from the mood of the game but you won't notice if you play the game . It's nitpicking' and is only visible if you look for it .
other the that , it's all good !
as a ps3 gamer, what id really want to know is this: does this have the ugly and disturbing texture pop-in that Rage had on ps3?
To write any system off is just silly, all systems have thier own benefits!
Obviously the best graphics will always be on a pc (why people even debate this is beyond me).
However to simply say that consoles are completely useless is equally ignorant, as the console exclusive selection of games consists of some really fantastic titles.(uncharted, gears, red dead, etc etc).
In my opinion people should take all the relevant factors into consideration, and make a choice of which system suits them best, not blindy pick one and insult other ones just because they are different to your system!
One of the major revevant factors is how much money is in your wallet, if you want the best looking games play on the pc but you will be paying for those grapics.
People who claim themselves fanboys should grow up. And end the stupid system wars between all. So the next generation of kids won't do silly wars like you... I'm just sayin...
1 Like What a shock the newest system beats the older systems, if of course the game had been developed for top of the end PCs then it would have been even better looking. The most impressive thing about Dishonored is actually how well it scales to a range of PCs rather than how good it looks on the best system.
Importantly the game is playable on all systems and that's all that matters.

@Minasodrom I prefer my Xbox controller for first person shooters but this I don't mind getting on PS3... I don't have that many third party games on that system so Dishonored will be a PS3 purchase for me.
@TommyT456 @slickcross not only that but dishonored is one of the few cases where ps3 looks better, which sucks, cause i prefer the xbox controller

It's a younger system than the 360 :P These days the system you play on (if you don't go with both systems like myself and many others have done) is determined by the exclusive titles and which ones you are more inclined to play. PS3 with the wider more varied selection of exclusive games vs the 360 with the few heavy hitting blockbuster series. I'm a PS gamer but respected the 360 enough to buy one when I had the money for games such as Mass Effect before the PS port, Gears, Halo (to see what all the overhype is about) and probably the best racer ever, Forza 3 among others. Sure we all have a favorite but neither console would be what it is without the healthy competition from the obvious rival and lets face it, we're VIDEO GAME fans, fan boy crap can be left at the door thank you very much :) So let's rejoice that great games like Dishonored are available for all to enjoy!! :D
3 Like This comparison doesn't give the PC enough credit as it's only in 720p and settings aren't maxed or even improved outside of the in-game options.
A modern PC with a few hundred dollars of gaming hardware is leaps and bounds ahead of these seven year old consoles, why is there even a comparison including the PC version and why would any gamer rob themselves of the best experience possible given better PC hardware is so cheap now? We're all required to keep these archaic consoles for exclusives but when it comes to any multi-platform game that's on the PC isn't the choice as obvious as night and day?
@BygByron3 the pc version is not very much ahead in this game. it looks more like a ported console game (which i guess it is)
@Minasodrom I see the difference between 720p with low resolution shadows and textures and no AA/AF compared to 1080p with high resolution shadows and textures and MSAA and AF enormous no matter the game engine.
@BygByron3 you can see that in a 720p video? congrats! dont get me wrong, i know the pc version is better, but it wouldnt make sence for me to assume they didnt max out the settings and i read now on different comparisons that pc version is not the ultimate killer in this game. ofcourse the higher resolution makes up for a lot of stuff but if the engine is not optimized for pc but for consoles... well.. there you got dishonored

Dishonored runs at only 30 fps on PS3 and Xbox 360 at 1280x720.

1 Like Why do they do that water beading up on the screen? It's unrealistic - we don't go through life with a pane of glass in front of out faces. Same with lens flare. If it's first person, it's not a camera - it's supposed to be your eyes.

not surprising that the pc version looks the best of course.... also not surprising that the 360 and ps3 versions are nearly the same
@uglypinkmoose I think part of the reason for these comparisons is when the new consoles come out they can show how much better they look than PC games, for the first year or so.
1 Like PC has more piracy and in the future more developers will be releasing their games for console.
Sure PC has betters graphics but I care about gameplay and thats is more import an than graphics.
PC Users : buy a console and play "red dead redemption" , one of the greatest games and not released for PC .
Maybe some more will add consoles to their supported platforms, but with the pc gamer population increasing, pc devs aren't going anywhere. Not to mention it's more expensive to develop and release games for console.
@d3nisvj Just buy both... 1 week of solid work = enough cash to buy both consoles and a semi decent gaming PC.
Saying that,
I got my PC/Consoles over about a year long period, but it's possible to knock them all out the gate with a weeks pay or 2 easy :)
8 Like @d3nisvj I could in turn tell you to buy a gaming PC to play the Total War series, of which in my opinion are the best RTS games you could ever buy. But you don't see me doing that, do you?
You do realize that PC Gamers aren't just in it for graphical fidelity, yes? We're in it for the modding community, of which adds longevity to gameplay. We are very much about gameplay as we are about graphical fidelity. We use mods to enhance gameplay, or tweaks. There is already one tweak for this game, which allows PC users to adjust the FOV up to 110. It's about options and customization.
PC does have more piracy than consoles, however the entire piracy issue is blown out of proportion! Maybe it would occur less often if those of us, who pay for our games weren't treated as though we're criminals with DRM in place.
Your statement about more developers releasing more titles on console as in both platforms or just consoles? PC games will always have their place. The myth that PC gaming is dying is simply untrue.
1 Like @Lord_Uhtred @d3nisvj Big Total war series fan here. Having all the major consoles as well as my trusty gaming PC, if a game was ported on all console I would buy the PC version of it. Like @Lord_Uhtred said, " We're in it for the modding community, of which adds longevity to gameplay." and that's how you stretch 60 bones in the age of recession.
1 Like hermmm... i actually don't like the rain hitting the camera effect. I think it kills immersion more than it helps. I mean, is the character wearing glasses? Because it seems like hes walking around with a wall of sheet glass over his face when rain hits it like that. Or like... its a camera floating in space, in a game, and not the point of view of a character.
I was intrigued enough to watch this but to me the decision is a no brainer, but not because of the graphics. I just can't stand playing a first person game on a console. The control setup of looking with one thumb and moving with the other is just absurd to me and a simple task like pointing an object at a man's head becomes a grueling chore. Many games try to get around this by adding aim-assist but then you feel like your not really in control at all. I used to play the zombies mode on COD: World at War and would constantly score headshots even with the cross-hair nowhere near the target.
Well I guess I'm better than I used to be but I only ever practice at mates' houses. My first person experiences HAVE to be on PC.
@RuthlessRich I love the two-thump set-up, and think it is intuitive and brilliant. (and works great for 3rd person combat games like Dark Souls as well)
but -- yes it is way harder than point-and-click.. And that is why I think playing FP games with a mouse is boring. It takes no skill to aim a mouse. No steady hand and no precise movement. Just point and click -- perfect aim every time. kind of cheap and boring if you ask me. I find it even easier than auto-aim on a console.
@elfinito77 Interesting point, hadn't looked at it that way. For me the difficulty is frustrating rather than pleasantly challenging.
I agree with you on the 3rd person front. Dark Souls, Assassins Creed and games like that are better with console style controls and these are my favourite kind of games, I just can't handle aiming!
@RuthlessRich I'm actually pretty bad myself FPS player with console controls -- way better with Mouse. I learned on PC half-life -- so I get romped on Console online FPS.But I like the challenge. And the evolution with dual thumb-stick feels natural to me, even if I do stink at my precision aiming.
Agree -- a good 3rd person game is my favorite for controls. With lock-on for close-range ranged attacks, but a self-aim FP zoom option. I can play Demon and Dark Souls over and over and over (and have)...
1 Like I have no idea about this game but i just saw this "pc vs consoles" and i litteraly gigled about it.I dont like the way things are nowadays in gaming industry. PC should always be the best in anything related to games hence the game was afterall made on a PC some random weirdo new generation kid even clamaimed at some forum that there were consoles before Computers LOL.. I hate the fact that games are nowadays optimized for consoles (mainly due to many casual players = good console sells). DNF got console/cod optimized and now im seeing that finally a real sequel (FAR CRY 3) has been console optimized (behind enemy: press x to takedown) no no no the direction were going..Im gonna stick with my original Doom 3 etc.. until a REAL game comes out where you dont have refilling health bars, are not limited to carry 2 weapons and most importantly dont have cod game engine . Just my 2 cents.
1 Like I'm glad that GS did all three platforms. GS knows that the PC will look the best, I think everyone knows that. The video would have been kind of boring if it was just Xbox and PS3, since they both look fairly similar. For people who don't have a console or a PC, it shows them variety and gives them insight into which platform they may possibly buy. This was a fun video indeed.
not really understanding the point of this. its about like asking: what looks better 1080p or 480p?!! of course PCs will stomp all consoles but perhaps they are just trying to educate those not aware of this. dunno seems rather obvious to me
1 Like I dont even know why they would do a graphics comparison with the consoles vs PC, the PC will literally ALWAYS win, it is not even possible for a console to compete visually with an even remotely up to date PC anymore.
@GamespotAudio Ive been playing this on PC of course, unless its only available on consoles then i always play the PC version
