The second developer diary for Dishonored focuses on the creative process that went into building the world and characters of Dunwall.
Let's hear more of the story plz. They've put so much effort into the game and I can only hope the story got the same treatment but up until now, not much has been said regarding the story. I know it concerns a dictatorship and an oppressed society but I really hope it's not a run of the mill evil dictator story (if there can ever be such a thing).
'Immersion'...hey, when you guys are done with your question and answer, I know a couple of developers that need expert tutoring...
Forget the steampunk setting, forget the powers, forget the brutality, forget completing missions however the hell you want - the artistic ingenuity is what drew me to this game & it still hasn't fallen short.
I was already following this game pretty closely, but this video got me a lot more excited. Great voice talents and a design philosophy that emphasizes weirdness and character. Will be surprised if this is anything but excellent now.
@aniforprez goosepumps and shivers? heck yeah! can't wait for this game!
I've not watched the video yet but I think I'm getting goosebumps at the comments describing the voice talent. I haven't heard of a cast this awesome for a game.
John fucking Slatterly!!! And Brad Dourif!!!! And Chloe Grace Moretz!!! And Leana Heady!!! And Susan Sarandon!!! That is seriously A-list
Impressive line up of voice talent! The level of attention to detail bodes well for this game. I really hope it lives up to it's promise.
As for graphics looks kinda outdated. I know graphics is not all but i would wish a project like this could look at its best.
As for the dedication and the work these guys has put into it is just impressive!!
Day 1 purchase for me!!!
@pezzott1 I think the level of detail and its focus on immersion could make up for that as well as its visual style which can trump good graphics in some cases, I just hope its AI and leval design is up too scratch. I was hoping it would be a free roam game but I think it will have a mission sysyem like Hitman's where you have an area in which you are free to explore but are ultimately trapped in a certain vicinity.
the more i see this game the less i want it... the graphics look too flat... the gameplay looks flat... will be waiting for a review...
Fantastic. So stoked for this game.. It looks absolutely awesome and the gameplay is right up my alley as well!
The extent to which they've really pursued a unique identity for Dishonored is absolutely incredible. I've never wanted a book of concept art so much.
