Out of nowhere came Dishonored .. and it was amazing!
Nope .. it's fantastic.
At this point, I should mention that I prefer swords to guns, so shooter games aren't my thing in general. Ok .. on with the review.
Set in a steampunk era, Corvo is the wrongly accused bodyguard of murdering the Empress. With a era rampant with industrialism, smoke, pollution, and rats (plague ridden aggressive rats, no less), you set out as an assassin to right the wrongs. Dishonored is a visual masterpiece. The color, depth and detail of the city is just amazing, while the character development is innovative.
There are only 9 missions. Nine! Now while some think that nine is small number and you can blow through this game, you're probably also the type of player to fly through Oblivion in a couple of days. In Dishonored, take the time to investigate, search every corner, get lost in Dunwall .. and get even!
