personal Requirment issue

#1 Posted by am87 (143 posts) -

just a quick question to any1 who has knowledge in this field.

I run a quick check if my laptop can run dishonored on canirunthis (www.systemrequirementslab.com)

It said I could not because my GFX card was not meeting requirments, but it does not say exact why. on paper it should be fine.

Below are the specs of my laptop

You Have: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz

Minimum: DirectX 9 compatible with 512 MB video RAM or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)

You Have: AMD Radeon HD 7650M

pixel shader:5

vertex shader: 5

dedicated video ram:2.1gb

Ram 4.1gig

OS:windows 7, home premium

If someone can clarify this I would appreciate it.

thanks

someone who likes to play games

laptop graphics cards are less powerful than there desktop counter parts. Thats probably your answer there

and I just looked at benchmarks for your card, from what i see youre only going to be able to run dishonored on medium

Your graphics card is poor. That's why. For future reference; if you're ever not sure, go look at benchmarks for other games with your card and then gauge.
