- Nov 29, 2012 7:27 am GMTIs it impossible to complete Mission 2 (High Overseer Campbell) with:
- No Kills
- Ghost
- Save the Colonel (Optional objective)
I've replayed that level 5 times, and I always fail the Ghost objective somehow.
I tried taking out (peacefully) everyone on the second floor before the meeting takes place, then using sleeping darts to knock both of the targets out in quick succession (so he's saved but doesn't give the alarm), but someone somewhere apparently saw me.
I tried Using Slow time to choke them both in rapid succession (making sure they're not looking at each other), I'm still apparently seen.
I even resolved myself to using a trainer, so I have Stop Time, and tried it in combination with either sleep darts or choking, and still somehow get found out.
When I say I get found out, it's because by the time I bring Campbell to the Interrogation chair, I hear guards walking around saying "I'll find you" and other similar lines. (which, so far, has always resulted in me not getting the "Ghost" checkbox at the end of the level)
Plus, there's apparently always a guard that goes in the Interrogation room, sees Campbell and sounds the alarm for "finding a body".
I'm just trying to get Ghost without killing anyone and without letting that other guy die to the poison. Is that an impossibility?

[This signature was deleted at the request of a lesser deity] - Nov 29, 2012 9:27 am GMTIt's perfectly possible to get all three.
The way you've described doing it seems perfectly fine, I don't know why you are losing Ghost. Bodies Discovered and Alarms Raised have no bearing on Ghost, I can confirm that since I did my Ghost / Clean Hands playthrough.
Are you sure you're being spotted in the High Overseer Campbell section? You sure you haven't been spotted prior to that? Granny Rags sidequest or the alleyway fight between the Bottle Street boys?
You should be able to KO everyone without raising alarms or bodies found. Usually, I will begin by saving Martin, then Blinking over the gate, and then to the lamppost and finally up to the high ledges. From there, I sneak in through the window (near where the two guards are talking about last night's lockdown). Go into the library, choke the guy who is studying Martin's plans, choke the guy in the library, and then the two guys who were talking earlier.
There is one guy who patrols outside the room where the drinks are, I KO him when the guards on the stairs aren't near. Then I take out the guy on the stairs to the right, and go around down the other stairs and sweep the place up. Should be one more guy on the stairs, and two downstairs, leaving the one overseer who is talking to the three men seeking help.
That should be everyone KO'd other than Curnow's guards, so no one will even come to check the bodies. For the drinks room, I usually spill the glasses, wait for the door to open, sneak in once Curnow and Campbell walk out; this will allow you to get to Curnow's guards. Choke the guy by the window, lean and sleep dart the last two goons there, that should be everyone KO'd.
Now wait for Campbell to show Curnow his scret room, and choke out Campbell when he draws his sword.
This is the method I've always used to tackle this mission with Ghost / Clean Hands. But like I said, there is nothing that seems out of place with your methodology - are you defintely sure you are being seen in the High Overseer's Office part? Like I said, Bodies Discovered and Alarms Raised do NOT invalidate Ghost, so you must have been seen directly by someone at some point in the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.com/card/11/egpNoodlez.png - Nov 29, 2012 9:53 am GMTDon't worry about the guards screaming I'll find you. That's natural. They're Curnow's guards that are looking because they don't see Curnow anywhere.
You probably got spotted before. Like the above poster said... Granny Rag's sidequest is a big one that gets people caught. If it is that, what I did was go onto the roof pathway ontop of them and shot them when they look away from each other (with sleeping darts)

Best Buy sucks so bad, I have to Sig it!
The customer service were stupid & they lied. Don't Buy from Best Buy - Nov 29, 2012 9:59 am GMTI finally managed to get it, although it seems to not have counted the Captain as saved (I put him to sleep with a dart). I'll settle for that and just get a thorough playthrough later when I won't limit myself so much.
I have literally skipped everything up to Campbell. (No collectibles/ammo/money/etc.) picked up, nobody taken down, no side quests.
I also took the high ledge route, although I only took out the 2 guards that were talking about the curfew and the one right outside the meeting room.
Went in, slowed time and shot sleeping darts at the two of them right as Campbell offers wine, since the Captain is looking away, just in case.
I then quickly put Campbell on the outside ledge and the Captain atop a shelf, out of view.
When the 3 guards come in the room, I slowed time again and sleep dart-ed all of them more or less at once. (I used up most of my mana potions, but I don't care)
It seems it's those 3 guards that, even if they don't see anyone, will start walking around as if they knew you were there.
That very well might have been my problem (I used to ignore those 3 guards, only taking out the ones in the corridor near the interrogation room. So they probably walked in on Campbell in the chair at some point)
I'm still kinda bothered that putting the Captain to sleep apparently doesn't count as you saving him, since if you don't put him to sleep, he'll run away, alerting everyone.

o.o
I didn't know, dammit.
Thanks for the info.

Spoilers
If you choose to follow them to the hidden room (instead of taking care of business in the meeting room) Campbell will direct Curnow(?) towards a painting in the hidden room. Use this moment to turn off the music player. Curnow will hear Campbell un-sheath his sword and become alert to danger. He'll attack and kill Campbell, thank you, then leave on his own.
I have no idea if this counts as a kill towards your ghost run but it's neat to do at least once!

well I am not like your dad. I worked as a chef at TGIF-Mattson - Nov 29, 2012 10:24 am GMTThat I did not know, mainly because I haven't started trying to kill off people yet. I'm trying to get no kill/ghost run... and I've always knocked them out almost instantly.
But nice. I will have to look into that when I don't care about being invisible.
But I think you have to put him out in the garbage bin if you knocked him out.

O_O
I never knew that! I always just "intervened," at which point Curnow ran out without acknowledging me at all. -_-
